Can't speak for ET but mod is mostly just being a little more alert when you're on VP and dealing with reports when they come in. I had no problem dealing with being a mod and on SMT at the same time

Sarah summed it up pretty well but being a mod is something you do while you are logged on because things happen unexpectedly and nothing is planned, where as with ET work you know when something is going to happen. The two are very different so being part of both doesn't really clash. ^_^
