Well, that is only your problem. I mean, if you don't want third parties to see it, send a newsletter via pm to your friends. It should have been obvious that mods have to have insight on all pages where people write stuff

And I guess, as the change was a recent one, as the mods didn't have the ability beforegand, this change maybe came because many were misusing the intimacy of the startalk and though their friends not necessarily reported them, the problem was well known on the site

Startalk is like the shout just that only your friends can see it and can interact with you. So why not make the same rules as for the shotbox. That's what I meant with it. And well, it has more functions than shoutbox. So maybe more like a crossover of shoutbox and blog?
