We try as much as we can to do current events - though, for me at least, I always end up just doing celebrations x3 Though, I learnt those were the ones that "sound like wikipedia articles" so I've kinda steered clear from them.
It's also why I have yet to do another Mythology Profile yet x3

Im the type of person that when bad things are happening (bombings in countries, mass shootings, etc) in addition to reading those articles of course, I like to read some feel-good stories so it gives me hope for humanity lmao

Completely.
Tbh, I never find my 'actual' style of writing shows in my articles.
My articles always turn out like my essay writing whereas my blogs show off more of my style.

But I never know how to put that into an article x3
May take me some time to figure out (unless someone's got some ideas

)

@askr my only problem with doing stories like that is that, typically, people already know about it because it will have been all over the real news already. So I feel weird then repeating things x3

noo they don't necessarily do, the topic i mentioned there was nowhere to be seen on any of the big newspapers, it was a little article on a science site. if you are creative and dig a bit you can find the most amazing stuff that nobody gets to know about like ever. like do you think big news coverers will ever cover what the pros and cons of having big ears is for bats? they are not blind at all, it's just more practical for them to use their ears as the are active at night. it gives them better hearing, but it also creates more air resistanse and takes a lot more energy than small ears. they can't be effective flyers and good ecco-locaters at once.

I feel the same way sometimes, like I write a blog and it feels like a school essay but then I usually don't feel that proud of it. But try to be more "relaxed" I think is a good start c:
