Forgive me if this is rude, but this is a bit condescending. They were just trying to joke around and it seems to have been made into something completely different.

Maybe we should just drop it? I think we've all agreed it was just joking around, and Izzy if you're still reading, thats exactly what it was. I have known all of these people in my time here and they are all kind people who would never purposely be rude or hurt feelings.
