When rules like this are made, are they based on popular opinion on the site, or is it only a matter of personal opinion from the owners?
Although the owners does obviously own the site, giving them the last say in these things, it doesn't exactly seems to be a change thats in interest of the users if they have never been asked about this. Meaning that this rule change is completely a matter of subjective opinion from one or two people (the owners). Since a lot of people are upset about it (and I really do understand why!) it kind of implies that the owners subjective opinions are superior to everyone elses.
But, I don't expect this to ever be read by the owners, lot less let it be taken into any kind of consideration as my experience so far have been that the owners (or mostly Kaj, I'm not sure) seem to be much more concerned about personal interest in this site, than how the users of the site thrives. Like when people get banned for cheating with votes, but no one gives a damn if a user continues to harass others.
