Bring them back sure, but male shop updates should just be more often.

But for the girls, it's not the high re-sell value that's important to me, it's the fact of owning something so few in the game.
I have items that are just one, two, three items in game and it's not that I ever want to sell them, just owning them make me happy. Those items don't even have registered values. I just like having them because a) they're pretty and b) they're exclusive.

Maybe it seems selfish, but I also paid for sponsorship when we were getting just one single item and not sets every Friday and yeah sometimes it was just three peoples getting the items. I don't really think it's fair to bring them back when we forked over the money to get them. But if it's just shop items that would come back, that's fine, when items were taken away from the game VP still had a pretty small community so it would be alright to bring back some of the stuff people missed out on because they didn't have an account at that time.

But only shop items is what I'd agree with, for girls anyway.

wait, okay, so just to be clear... we're both on the same page that IF items were to be re-released, they would be at the same or higher price than before.

> I don't really think it's fair to bring them back when we forked over the money to get them.
i mean, i'm not saying they'll be free. i'm saying that people would be able to also fork over their money in exchange for items.

but according to the rest of your post, i guess that doesn't really matter to you. i mean, i don't understand and i don't agree, but you have a valid opinion. i respect that.

Still a bad idea, I've had male friends back then who still are active it would be unfair

i'm not gonna lie, i don't really understand this notion of "unfairness" since... like... economy isn't fair. maybe i'm too practical, but every real world market is based on this "unfairness" you speak of. stock exchange. real estate. buy low, sell high. i mean... i know this is a virtual site, but i don't really think it being unfair is a very sound argument. it's kind of naive.

but, i think easing the imbalance between supply/demand would be beneficial to VP from a monetary standpoint. i'm not just saying that because i want to be able to buy old items. i mean, if anyone's been on gaia, just look at the inflation. you used to be able to buy rare items for 1 million gold. some items have inflated to 1 trillion. and literally everyone and their mom complains about it. yes, these were cash items.

this is an issue that every virtual economy has to face eventually, fair or not.

edit:
tbh idk why i'm getting all ~real~ about this omg. i dunno though, i've been on a lot of avatar sites (so many) and i've seen things.

also, people seem to be in the habit of mistaking my tone for hostility. i promise i'm not even remotely pissed, angry, bothered, whatever. i... honestly have no idea where people get the idea i'm angry. if it's the way i talk, i... talk like this all the time.

I think we're just no on the page because you're talking about people selling these items for way to high of prices that just aren't attainable for most people to get, so bringing the items back will deflate the price and make items easier to get in the future.

My point was that some people don't care about the price of the item. A lot of people don't actually. It's a pain in the ass when you're paying 4000cr for a skin. *cough* but it makes it worth it when the item is exclusive. It's few in the game. It's collectors piece now for the game. You earned it by that point and you shouldn't have to be worried about it's value decreasing because, oh look, there's a re-release in the shops.

The unfair argument isn't invalid, it's it juvenile? Yeah, but this is a dress up game. But if I pay 4000cr for skin just for it to be released in the shops for 1000pd, then yeah, I'm gonna be a little pissed off that my collection item is now worthless, I'd say it's unfair.

Oh damn this forum has developed a lot since I last checked.

First of all, I don't think it would be fair to re-release certain items for boys only and not girls to.
Personally I think re-releasing comp items it simply out of the question, they should stay limited the way they are.
As for "1. that's unfair! my rare items will lose value!" why not re-release items that have a low number in game ONLY if the item is not it any active players wardrobe. So we could bring back old items that are just left alone in old inactive members wardrobe?
We definitely need this. 6. Why not ask the designer to recolor some items instead of bringing old items back? Items recoloured and possibly redeisgned if the designer has the original designers permission.

Or paying real money for items you get for like "100cr"

I'd like to see this happen with the items that have like 1-5 in game, where chances are most of the owners are inactive so you have literally no way of obtaining them. There are a few items I doubt I'll be able to buy, no matter how much I pay.
