on another note, a weak password is: -something that contains a word (password hacking using the dictionary method) -any date, no matter reversed or not -names -locations
just avoid words and dates and add some *$(@# and you'll be fine i promise
It's based off statistics.. seeing how the normal user doesn't add special characters without being forced too. Most people would do something easily remembered especially for anyone under the age of 18. The child I babysit was like make the password "password" and I stared at him like dudeeee.
The ideal password would use a combo of numbers, letters, caps, noncaps, and special characters. Then on top of it, you shouldn't use the same password for every site you log in to – it's poor practice. AND you shouldn't share your password out to people due to the person you provide it to could be mischievous and abuse your account which you shouldn't be allowed to say,"you were hacked" because you would have been the dumbass to share to begin with.
The best solution for this is to make VP save all IP address that log into a specific account not just the previous account used. They also need it fix all the minor bugs that has to do with security especially since we invest in their site. This technically should be their priority to fix.
