I agree. It looks like a lot of people just choosing their friends - because their friends are good to them.

i'm pretty young but i know responsibilites well :') i'm the least likely to abuse my position since i'm rly serious about transparency and understanding- i know what it feels like from pov of a normal person. i follow the eastern time zone which means when i'm online,  most of the other mods aren't, and
i don't get angry easily :') like unless u go over-the-top, i wouldn't ban or give a -t/o

I think you would be fair and a good judge of character !
But I worry about younger people being a mod just because of some of the backlash you can get from other users can be quite horrible sad
