Besides VP the only other community like this I play on is Flight Rising, and yeah they do have a 100$ gem package.

It's significantly more ridiculous here though because on FR, the primary currency and way to obtain things is through treasure which is the site currency. You don't HAVE to buy gems to survive there.

Edit: Also, you get eleven thousand of them. Not 4k which will get you, what? One item from a 20ig set these days?
