I THINK SO YEAH the 11 was hecka long ago while the 14 was more recent 

I'm not really fast because I tend to panic whenever I get a good clear and tarnation things up
i can't even click fast enough to clear the screen within 11 seconds haha. Mousepads are not my strong suit xD
But I find it true that a good time is impossible without a good clear (I play on iPad muhahaha)

I find that when I stopped using the flag to mark the bombs (maybe 2 years ago) my time was like halved 

You do a flummery ton of practice, play like 1,000 times :X there is no easy way

I used to and sometimes I would forget to reclick the flag and that tarnation things up so I gave up marking long ago, saves time too

I figured it didn't matter after playing for about a hundred time and not flagging everything (I played minesweeper wayyyy too much cus of vp)

Well, if we forget the 21 seconds I made one time that I absolutely didnt found way to cheat then my real high score is in 43 seconds, which is not maybe superfast for being me, since my normal is on 1 minut - 1 and a half minut, but I feel like for most people, the time they achieve a certain high score its because they got lucky to get a very easy game, instead of just happen to being superfast. When I scored my 43 sec it was more about that + I did hurry, and when I hurry, I like clicking the whole time and theres almost no time to think through, so I really dont understand how somebody can get it in like 15 sec without cheating or being extremly lucky with an easy game.

For you who struggling even completing the game - there is hope! You just have to understand the way of thinking in that game and then its really easy.
