I think @VintageBeauty tageBeauty and @Hailee are the ones to typically do diy articles :3

noo they don't necessarily do, the topic i mentioned there was nowhere to be seen on any of the big newspapers, it was a little article on a science site. if you are creative and dig a bit you can find the most amazing stuff that nobody gets to know about like ever. like do you think big news coverers will ever cover what the pros and cons of having big ears is for bats? they are not blind at all, it's just more practical for them to use their ears as the are active at night. it gives them better hearing, but it also creates more air resistanse and takes a lot more energy than small ears. they can't be effective flyers and good ecco-locaters at once.

Tbh, I do need to get more creative with my researching.
But sometimes that happens cause I write my article last minute and don't get chance to research properly, I'm a sham I know

However, I feel Vintage' will be best for this as she is interested in Science :3

(Not to say I don't find what you say uninteresting, cause I do, I'm just really bad at the area so I'd do a terrible article x3)

Tbh, I never find my 'actual' style of writing shows in my articles.
My articles always turn out like my essay writing whereas my blogs show off more of my style.

But I never know how to put that into an article x3

I feel the same way sometimes, like I write a blog and it feels like a school essay but then I usually don't feel that proud of it. But try to be more "relaxed" I think is a good start c:

you did a really interesting article on hypermobility tho, if i remember correctly? what do you find interesting then, articles are usually best if the writer is actually interested in the topic. like if the writer is good, any topic can be interesting. i'd gladly read articles on baseball if it's written in a way that catches me even tho i have no interest whatsoever in baseball. but that's just me idk.

aa I did, my very first one :3 I wrote that one, though, because I have the condition - it's close to home for me so I naturally had a curiousity to find out more about it. Then I wanted to share it cause whenever I told people, they were like "wth is that?".
I prefer 'culture' myself - history/mythology/lore/films/books/languages etc.
I can and I can't do that x3 Same as you say, if it's written in a way that interests me, maybe. But they also have to have some kind of hook - otherwise they lose me. On a lot of political or scientific things, I largely end up just reading the headline and not the article. I listen to those kind of news stories but rarely read them

i have it as well, probably why i remember it. culture is so interesting tho, all those things you mention have so many possibilities? it has probably been done many times but it would've been cool to compare thor, loki and odin from marvel with the actual figures in norse mythology for instance. i think news team has might have a challenge when it comes to that hook you talk of? like with news papers there is always going to be a numer of people who just arent interested in reading some article on a random topic? i can only speak for myself here, but what catches my attention is stuff is funny facts i have never even though about that you can think about, if you get what i mean.

maybe you could do a weekly "VP news" and it could feature anything that has happened in the past week: new items, events, site updates, maybe even feature some new members in the community, links to FTs threads of the week, maybe feature some outfits or birthdays, idk! but you get what i mean
