✨ ET Applications 2022✨

Can you believe it? We can't either! The time has finally come, and we are so happy to present:
ET Applications 2022!

Do you want to help plan and host exciting events, or are you perhaps a creative soul who would love to make designs or layouts to be used by ET? Then look no further!

We are looking for new hosts, new designers, and new layouters - all positions are open!
If you think you would be good for one or more of these positions, please consider applying to the team. You can apply for more than one position - send both / all of your applications in the same message if you do so.

Fill out the form below and send your application via PM to the @EventTeam account if you wish to apply. If you have any questions then post them in this forum & we will get back to you as soon as possible!

We are not doing a bootcamp this time around so we urge you to not hold back in your applications!
Since we are not doing a bootcamp there will be a trial period for newcomers - this will be used as a way to test the new members to ensure we build the best possible team!

The Event Team has decided to extend the application deadline.
The new deadline for applications is going to be

October 17th, 2022 @ 23:59 CEST

COUNTDOWN: CLICK HERE

For all applicants:

Timezone:
What position are you applying for?:
When are you most available during the day?:
How much time do you spend on VP in an average week?:
How often do you check your inbox?:
Do you have any previous experience you think will be valuable?:
Do you have discord? If not, are you willing to create an account?
How well do you think you can work together with others?:
Any other comments you'd like to add or things you want us to know:

How would you handle these scenarios:
1. ET member Jungkook has just posted the thread for the next comp within his music series, a dress-up competition with the theme being k-pop. Shortly after making his thread go live, Jimin comments saying he’s never listened to k-pop before, so he is unable to join. RM comments complaining that ET always pick the same winners anyway, so it doesn’t matter. J-hope and Jin both express their excitement for the theme. Before Jungkook responds to comments within the thread, he decides to look at Startalk. There he sees fellow ET member V has posted on their startalk that he’s tired of Jungkook’s music series and knows nobody will join because k-pop sucks. How would you respond to the backlash within the thread as well as your ET teammate's startalk?

2. Raven, an ET member, just noticed the deadline for her writing competition finished five days ago (oops, she was busy at a Boyz N' Motion concert). When she looks at the entries, she notices only 5 females and 1 male have entered her competition. Not only that, she sees a comment from Chelsea stating that it’s already been five days, and the winners have STILL not been announced, what’s taking so long? How would you deal with the low participation numbers as well as the comment in the thread? How would these low numbers affect and reshape your future competitions?

3. Porsche is excited to host his next mafia competition! He has the theme and thread already planned the only thing missing is the prizes. When he goes to check the design storage for something useable for males and females, he finds nothing available for him to use. He then remembers the Design Event is finishing in a week, and there may be something useable there. When he goes to the thread, he sees only 2 people have posted designs, and they aren’t useable. How would you react to not having any available design prizes for your event? What is something you think would help improve participation in future design events?

How would you respond to this thread?

1. You have prepared your first interactive event - a quiz! You have all your questions and answers ready and you are good to go. You have a decent amount of questions prepared, and in order for participants to get the prize set they must win 3 questions. As the event progresses things quickly turn a little chaotic. At one point you post a question, but no one seems to be finding the answer that you have written down as correct. A little later a user named fruitloops1842 makes remarks about your speed and rushes you. At one point you accidentally copy the answer to the question along with the question, thereby giving it away. Towards the end of the event two people seemed very dissapointed and frustrated that they couldn't win 3 questions and complain that there should have been more questions. A few days after the event but before codes had been sent out you recieve a message from one of the winners asking if they could get the prize for the opposite gender instead as they have changed their VP gender.

How do you respond to the different incidents?

For Hosts:
- Submit at least two ideas for new events.
Explain all the steps you would take to ensure one of the event ideas you suggested went successfully from start to finish. Don't leave out any details.
- Pick at least one previous ET event and describe how you could have improved it.

For Layouters:
- How much notice do you need before someone asks you for a layout?
- Submit two examples of layouts that you've done all on your own.
- Go through the competition archives from the home page and find one layout from a previous competition or event, create a new layout that fits the theme and put your own unique spin on it!

For Designers:
- Submit a matching male and female design to use as an example.
- Maximum of 3 recolored and/or converted items.
- Do not send any of your submitted designs to another team unless you got permission.
- Come up with a simple idea on an event or series your sets could be prizes to.

We are looking forward to seeing your applications!

if you've only been private about your negative opinions about et, do you have to answer to the followup questions?

I guess it depends on how honest you want to be. It's not a surprise that people speak about others/teams in private chats. Whether these conversations happened publicly or privately, I would still try to answer the follow-up questions.

it's a little pointed to keep that question in there but i think u picked a good person to respond so ill just send u a pm instead of asking my second question here

imma be honest, as someone who has never been involved with the going ons between teams much, that last question comes across as extremly off putting and a bit childish/petty and does not really make it seem exciting to apply...........
