I would recommend to take look at some old NT articles if you are unsure what an article looks like. E.g. an intro and a text that can be easy to read and understand even if you are not an expert on the topic of the article. 
I know what an article looks like just basically asking if i can use an assignment piece from last year? xx

In our rules it says that the latest a writer can give their layouter the information needed to create the layout is 3 days prior. However, we usually do it earlier.
