It's time for Secret Santa again!

This is how it works:

WHAT IS IT?:
Everyone who signs up for Secret Santa will get the name of a VP user sent to them privately. Then, you have to give them a gift (following certain guidelines) before December 27th at 11:59 PM CET..
SIGNUP:
Let us know HERE in THIS forum if you'd like to participate. It has to be done before 11:59 PM CET on December 5th. Anyone signing up past that date and time will not be included in Secret Santa this year. 
SORTING:
Between December 6th and December 8th we'll be sorting the participants and sending out everyone's Secret Santa. 
SENDING YOUR GIFT:
You have to send your Secret Santa a gift between the date you get their name and the 27th of December. You'll send the gift from your personal account, letting them know you're their Secret Santa. 



GIFT GUIDELINES:
You can give your Secret Santa:
1. Credits. We have set the minimum amount to 50 cr.
2. WL items adding to a value of 50 cr, or a combo of items and cr.
3. Art - drawings or edits/layout etc that is personalised for the person. Written gifts (poems, stories etc) is not accepted. 
4. If you wish to give items that have a higher value than 50 cr, you are of course welcome to do so, but you'll be doing that on your own accord and cannot expect to get an equally expensive gift in return. Examples of this is 1 Promotion Point, Manager, DM or WL items over the value of 50 cr.
You may not give your Secret Santa Popdollars.



OTHER RULES:
- There is NO swapping your Secret Santa. If you sign up to this, you do so knowing that your Secret Santa could be any VP player, even someone you dislike, and you'll still be expected to give them a gift.
- If you happen to be blocked by your Secret Santa and you wish to give them something anonymously, you can message either me (Moss) or @Aimz  and we can pass on the gift to your Secret Santa for you.
- Do not reveal to others who your Secret Santa is before you give them the gift. It ruins the surprise.
- If you do not recieve a gift by your Secret Santa before the 27th of December at 11:59 PM CET, you can contact either me or @Aimz, and we'll try to sort out the situation.
- If you fail to send a gift to your Secret Santa, you will NOT be allowed to enter Secret Santa next year.

FAQ

1. Is it allowed to give away stylings/looks?
Seeing as people usually offer to style for free or 1cr, I don't think a styling has enough of a value to quality, no. 

2. Can we sign up with more than 1 account?
Although it's ultimately a nice gesture when you give to more people, the answer is no. Please join with your main account! We will check our lists for sides (and remove them) before any pairings are finalized 

3. Art is too subjective, why is that allowed if writing isn't?
The problem is that anything below 50 cr is a very "small" budget to some, but a very expensive budget for new users. So, there has to be a "free" option to join. We don't want to exclude anyone. At least with the personalised art option there's a bigger chance it's gonna appeal to the reciever than if they got a random drawing of a beach. 

4. I thought the whole point with secret santa was to not tell the person, but for them to guess? 
Well yes and no. Unfortunately, receiving gifts from everybody that signs up (I think over 200 users signed up last year) and then distributing it to their intended recipients so it remains a secret will be a lot of work and would require more hands on deck than most of us on SMT have during the holiday season. The way we have done it now and previously seems to work for the most part and still allows for some mystery 


5. What if I get "effortless" or bad art?
This is a great question but a bit difficult for me to answer because what you may consider little effort may not be true for somebody else. However, I would agree that something as simple as a “stick figure” drawing would be considered no effort and therefore unacceptable. However, if anybody that signs up for SS this year receives what they feel like is “effortless” art (please don’t be rude and really consider what you’ve received) is welcome to message one of us privately so we can discuss and figure out a solution.
