Most of us can agree that a lot of things need to be done with VP - we can compare it to a car that hasn't been serviced for a while and needs a full upgrade. As we recently experienced on our server when the developers were working behind the scenes, things didn't go as smoothly as planned, and the site got temporarily reset to an older version. It was good to see the nostalgic reactions and though there are still some glitches, the developers will sort that out.
A big part of the work will be around the software and servers, or basically the 'foundation' of VP. These are improvements that enhance the overall security of the site. A general server update will therefore be done March 2nd, from 10:30 PM to 04:30 AM Central Europan time. During these hours VP will not be accessible. We will send a reminder with additional timezones when it's getting closer.
As you know, a few new minigames will be added soon. The ads will also be rearranged in a way that they will be less annoying. The revenue from the ads will be used for more improvements as running a website is not cheap. Another plan is to make VP more mobile friendly since almost 50% of the users are accessing it over mobile phones. This does not mean that an Android or IOS app will be created, however the forum and some other sections will become more mobile friendly/easier to view on a mobile device.
VP has players that have been with us since the very beginning. Every year, about 40 million pages are seen by almost half a million viewers spread across the three sites. This month we saw a 7% growth in users compared to last year. In other words - keep visiting, playing and collecting sets as VP has some exciting times ahead!

from what i've seen, if they implement two factor authentication then those options r typically also encrypted so the devs won't see what u do - unless u happen to fail (since that could also imply a hacker is trying to access ur account)
