Agreed, yes it is still used and the first message is automatic (any further are manual replies).

As a mentor... don't feel bad about it. Most mentees I get never respond or contact me at all. I feel the current system is so awkward, i'm perfectly happy if my "mentees" don't respond unless they have a question or reason because then it's just... more awkward...

Does that sound bad? i don't mean it meanly... just the whole intro segment on vp is kind of outdated, weird, and under revision at the moment
