I don't know which giveaway you are referring to but from what I have experienced in the SMT is that the problem with giveaway codes are that they are only active for 24 hours, so from 0:00:00AM to 11:59:59 PM, and the other problem is that someone has to officially announce them. Personally, I am one hour ahead which means it is 1:00 AM for me when the codes are available and I am most likely to be asleep at that time especially if I have classes early on the day. So if I were to announce a giveaway code for SMT I would most likely do this in the morning around 8/9 AM which gives people 7/8 hours less time to claim the items and that is probably the time you are in bed and you probably wake up the next morning go to school/work come back have dinner and then you look at the time only to realise it is 7-8PM. & even though we give everyone an equal amount of time to claim the item due to timezones its not that equal. Someone from Europe is lucky in this case but someone from the USA not really. Okay I probably wrote a whole text that is uninteresting and this is also something that cant be changed but yeah idk
