Cassia laughed softly ''Sounds like you got it all sorted then. Mine are stubborn about everything, even about me going off to do something I want to do, like uni or something. they just want me to work here for the rest of my life. I love it but.. I don't want it to be my life, you know?'' she said with a little sigh. She poured herself a glass of wine and took a sip, smiling a little ''Wesley.. your the first Wesley I've ever met. I could say the same about your name, unusual but nice,'' she said blushing a little as she felt his eyes on her. ''Well my mum started this place when she was nineteen. She came form a pretty rich background and her parents wanted her to be a doctor, just like they were and just like her siblings. But she didn't want to. She loved the little shops down here on the lanes and she dreamed of owning her own and seeing all the different faces that would come into the shop each day. So her dad set her a challenge, he would buy her the shop but she had one year to get it up running and making a good profit. She did better than even she expected and from then on her life was about running the shop. My parents even met here. She worked here until her dying day too. She became sick a few years ago but she said she would never stop working in the shop, it was her everything. She finished her shift and closed the shop up and then she died a few hours later. Ever since then my dad has taken over but without her here the business has failed. And that's why we need you. To be honest I can't thank you enough for what you've done so far, it was horrible sitting back and watching it fail but you're making it better. Also, some of the products we sell, like the prints of paintings and stuff and some of the little ornaments were designed by mum. I'm going to put the originals up when I've finished decorating in here actually,'' she said with a little smile. She loved talking about her mum, even though it made her heart ache a little because she wasn't there.
Mat yawned as he got out of his car. He had had a long and stressful day and he was ready to just chill out with the kids. His wife had turned up at the office being a complete bitch so he was even more annoyed. He grabbed his bag and headed in. ''Hey, I'm home,'' he called, smiling a little as he popped his head round the living room door to see that they were all getting on. ''You all had a good day?'' he asked as he hugged Ella and max when they came over to him. He smiled at Poppy ''How's it been?''
