Aphroditi raised both of her perfectly groomed brows as she listened. "I'm a little surprised by that. Charlotte is a little bit of a loose cannon, he's gonna have his work cut out for him. I'm glad your family has accepted her like one of your own, though, she deserves it for sure. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have her around half the time." She admitted, self consciously playing with a loose strand of her hair that had fallen from the French braid it was currently in. Her lips falling into a pout as he objected her suggestion. "But they deserve it just as much as we do, Nathan. The have worked so hard for us and done so much to help us each year. They should get to celebrate too." She pleaded, her arms dropping from his hand and instead crossing tightly across her chest.

Wish I could lurk around to hear his feeble attempts. " he paused for a moment, listening to her praises of Lottie, "you are right, she's saved my life twice now. I do owe her a lot, I think of anyone to be given a space in our family from the outside it was right it was her." he smiled, gazing at Aphroditi for a moment longer than planned before turning back to the room. He groaned ever so slightly, trying to maintain a level hand. If anyone else spoke of humans this way he would of sent them away by now but he couldn't do that with her, she was too special. "I will allow them tomorrow off for you, but not today. Today is our day Aphroditi, and nothing will change my mind on that, am I clear?"

aphroditi smiled pleasantly. "You know for someone who has to stay pretty undivided you sure are a gosspier, Nate." She joked, her lips twitching as she tried her very best to hide the giggle that was bound to fall from her lips at any moment. Turning in his hold, she moved to one of the many small tables that had been palaces as podiums for people to chat at, rest their drinks and such. Running her fingertips over the edge, she tutted. "These haven't been dusted and polished correctly. You've been working them too hard." She added, trying to get her point across. Though living such a luxury lifestyle which she admired so much, dita always wandered what it would have been like, to stay her natural self. "You're being unfair, Nathan." She argued back. Something she knew would never end well.

Nathan chuckled when she commented on his gossiping tendencies, he couldn't deny the fact he enjoyed catching up on the latest juicy gossip from within the house. " you know I can't help myself." His frown grew much more stern now as he walked effortlessly over to the dusty table and he lowered his voice so only aphroditi could hear, "you better stop talking like that before tonight, I might be okay with it to an extent but father isn't. They are servants. In exchange for their services around the house they are given their lives and a place to rest. If you would prefer we shipped them all off to a farming location just say the word." But Nathan didn't just mean any normal farm, he was referring to the location where humans were stored and drained partially of their blood for vampire consumption, yet left alive until they are needed again.

Aphroditi lifted her head to meet his eyes, though her dead heartbeat grew stronger as he came closer. His voice so calm yet serious, she knew she would be in trouble if she pushed the boundaries any further. She always pushed him too far, but to her, she was still one of them. She had lived that life and felt the way they did. "I could have been one of them you know, if I wasn't in the right place at the right time, and hadn't fallen under your stupid spell, I'd be doing the exact same as them. It could have been my blood you'd be snacking in tonight." She reminded him before standing up a little straighter. "So no, they don't need to add any finishing touches. It looks perfect the way it is." Sighing quietly, she glancing up and looked him in the eye, for longer than necessary, before turning and walking away from him.

Nathan was growing tired of this conversation of humans the more she continued on. "My stupid spell?" he said, raising his eyebrow as he looked down at her, "If you no longer want to be with me Aphroditi you are free to leave, if I remember correctly you were the one that never wanted me to leave you after we met. I did not force this lifestyle on you, in fact I gave you the choice." he lowered his voice as he continued on, "and I told you if you did not want this I would ensure your safety." he turned away from her and clicked his fingers once and two servants came running into the hall, he spoke to them in a more serious and professional tone of voice, "ensure all the tables are suitably dusted before this evening, otherwise.." he paused for a moment before continuing, "you have done a good job. I will make sure your dinner is good tonight." The humans bowed their heads and ran off again to get dusters.

Aphroditi stormed off down the hallway, rage flowing through her empty veins and bubbling away in her brain. Her words were far more fierce than she had meant them but of course, it was far too late already. She rushed up the three flights of stairs and down the corridor, to their bedroom, slamming the heavy oak door shut, she flopped in the bed, a deep sigh heaving from her lungs, her whole body deflating as she pulled her knees up. It was true. She had begged for his family's welcoming and her transformation was something that she would never regret, she knew that. standing up from the super king bed, she headed over to her large vanity and sat herself down.

Nathan stood still, watching Aphroditi storm out of the large hall and as she went he let out a sigh. Sometimes she could be unbelievably difficult and he struggled to understand her at times. Her sympathies to humans was somewhat understandable, she had always been so kind natured but he could never fully understand why. He turned on his heels and strolled back towards the kitchen to grab a bag of flesh blood from the fridge. "ah, you two are still here I see." he said as he walked past the pair of them and swung the fridge door open, "hope there's not been any mischief through here".

Aphroditi pushed a stray tear that had fallen from her eye away from her rosy cheeks, and reached up, letting her hair fall from its plait, she rustled her fingers through, letting it bounce around and fall down her back. Her lips performing the perfect pout as she admired herself in the mirror. Her skin still supple and smooth, her eyes a golden glow and eyelashes that could flutter their way out of a bad situation. Turning in her eat, she stood and pulled both her jeans and top off, picking up a plush cotton towel, she padded into the bathroom and closed the door, turning in the shower at full heat, she turned the radio on quietly and clambered into the hot water, letting it glide along her skin.

Nathan wasn't the oldest brother of the family, Andrew had been. However he was shunned after marrying a human who had no intention of turning into a vampire and during the great wars he had been beheaded by his own father. Now Nathan assumed the rule of eldest and therefore, most dominant after their father. "Oh you know, get as drunk as I possibly can and enjoy the hell out of tonight." he laughed, in a low voice before waving slightly to Charlotte as she left the room. He waited a few moments, letting silence fall before turning to Micah and raising his brow, "well then, tell me how it went." he smirked.

Aphroditi washed her body and hair, shaving every inch of her skin and making herself silky smooth, smelling good enough to eat.

"Well brother, who knew you still had any sort of way with woman. Only two hundred something years since you last had someone." Nathan said with a rather short laugh before he grabbed a pouch of fresh blood and drained it quickly, grabbing a second and doing the same. "That better be fashionably on time Micah, you know what your duty is to this family." he said, this time rather sternly but he relaxed afterwards. "Anyway I must be off, think I've given Aphroditi time to calm down after our small disagreement." he stated simply, with no further explanation, and walked off towards their quarters. He checked in their bedroom first, spotting the clothes she had been wearing earlier on the floor. Probably in the shower, he thought to himself and sat down in the arm chair that was situated in the corner of the room.

Aphroditi ensured all the suds were out of her hair, before climbing out of the shower cubicle and wrapping a small towel around her body, and then one around her hair, flopping it up to keep the wet mop of hair from her face. Rinsing her face and brushing her teeth, she finally turned the radio off and unlocked the bathroom door, pulling it open, she jumped as she spotted Nathan figure in the chair. Not out of shock, purely because she hadn't heard him enter their bedroom nor hear him sit down either. Staying silent for a few more moments as she collected her thoughts, she picked up her dirty clothes and placed them in their laundry basket. Resuming her seat at her vanity, she began to apply some light make up.

"in here is a half breed who is sick every time he swallows the processed blood, so he hasn't actually fed properly in about two weeks now, you are going to be my body guard."

Nathan raised his head when the door to the room opened, watching as she jumped slightly at the sight of him. "your senses are weak because you've not been resting enough." he said softly, in what could be seen as a caring tone but still being careful not to piss her off again. As she sat down he watched her apply makeup for a few moments in silence before speaking again, " I can never understand what your old life was like, and I won't pretend too but you need to be careful what you say in this house. You can speak freely around me however there are some that won't be nearly as forgiving and could view your words as treason." he sighed softly, letting his body relax into the chair, "I just don't want to see any harm come to you Aphroditi."

She pulled her towel off and dried her body down, rubbing moisturiser into her skin before slipping in her silk robe. Turning her head back to him, she walked over slowly and sat herself so she was perched on his knee, taking her hand in his, she rain her fingers over the top of his hand. "Nathan you don't understand, humans deserve just as much of a life as we do. They were just trying to get by and us evil creatures come along and ruin everything. I just feel so much guilt inside me and I just can't bring myself to treat them like you do. I'm sorry but I just can't agree with your family's ways and if that means that I have to leave here then.. fine." She almost whispered.
