Dean had fallen asleep, but when he woke up he saw something in the corner of his eyes. He instantly stood up, but the bright lights were making it difficult to see who it was. 
"Sam?" He asked when he saw the crutches. It had to be him, he figured as he moved closer.

@alwin  Aa I can try to help if you want. Is he optimistic, thinking that things will turn out okay or does he immediately give up? Maybe he's just confused. Does he have a question, even if he knows he knows he won't get an answer (maybe more of a discussion on what is going to happen with them), or overall reaction to what Dean said? He doesn't have to say something immediately.
