lilliane smiled when he finally spoke to her, it gave her a sense of relief. scott seemed like the only person who hadn't turned on her so far, and she was thankful for that. "okay, I can do that!" she went over, rolling up the sleeves of her cardigan hesitantly, she washed up the plates and cutlery for him, while scott was drying them all.

lilliane felt rather self conscious now, quickly pulling her hair back around her face to hide the marks, she could feel scott's eyes on the bruises. "yeah i'm good. don't worry, okay? I told you yesterday, I can handle it." she said quietly, finishing off all the dishes, she emptied the sink of the water, and washed her hands clean, drying them.

lilliane gulped, trying to stay strong. but it was easier this time. the night before, it had washed away a lot of what was left in her. she felt no point of life any more - she had almost given up so much that she just didn't care what happened. "if something happened? like not enough has happened already, scott?" she shook her head.

Scott looked at his feet. "You're right, wrong choice of words. I just couldn't- I dunno. I'll just shut up." he said quietly as he put the last of the crockery away. It felt like it was impossible to say what he really wanted to say. Every time he offered to help, she said no. He didn't know what to do.

Scott nodded his head. "I understand, it's fine." he said gently. He walked across the kitchen to the fridge and began getting the ingredients out for the cakes they had a make. A load of elderly people usually came in on saturday morning for tea and cakes, it was quite cute.

Scott started mixing up the butter icing the the whisker. He made a whole tub of it so it could go a little further. He was only good at savory foods and mixing the icing, Lillane was so much better then him, she was so gentle and sweet.

"i'll go lay some tables!" she said, not wanting to stop - it'd bring her mood down.

lilliane giggled softly and nodded, walking into the main part of the restaurant, she began to lay out the tables, first straightening out the table cloth and then putting the place mats and plates down. she ran her fingers through her lightly knotted hair, yawning. she really was exhausted, but she had to work through it.
