We heard someone screaming.."

Maia felt her bottom lip tremble and she quickly put her head down, letting her hair cover her face for a moment. This was a vulnerability she had never felt before. The confidence in her had disappeared along with around a pint of her blood, her legs shaken, just about holding her in place. Rubbing her eyes again, she looked back up at them, shaking her head. "Uhm no.. not really.. I've uhm, I've done so,etching really stupid." She admitted, letting a couple more years escape. Her head feeling very light and woozy.

He stood thinking quickly to himself, if it's loud on her end, maybe she's still here? He kept the phone pressed to his ear incase she spoke as he scouted round the club, moving in and out of other people before he spotted Elijah and then Maia by his side. Instantly he knew something didn't look right and sprinted over to them, "Maia what's happened?" he said, looking into her eyes, then looking at Elijah for some sort of clarification.

That drake guy I think." He said a little quieter, resting his thumb over the bite marks, his warm skin slowly but surely helping to heal the wounds a little quicker.

Drake sat back down on the chair, a whiskey in his hand as he looked around the room, all his friends congratulating him on his newest catch. "That was much easier than intought it would be. Typical naive human, reckon I could do it to her again, too." But the smirk on his face dropped, that familiar voice ringing through his ears, "oh shit, here we go again." Rolling his eyes he stood up from behind his friends and took a step closer to her. "Nice of you to show your face, effy. You've been avoiding me all night?"

Maia winced slightly and cowered away as Elizabeth came over to her. She hadn't no idea who the hell these two people were and if she could ever trust them. Or what the hell they were. Hat if they were the same, just wanting a little bit more of her fresh human blood? Her head bobbing up and down in a little nod as Elijah explained. Her eyes turning to Nathan, her sadness turned to rage, before reverting back. None of this was his fault, not really. "I should have listened to you when you told me drake was a ladies man.." she began, but the tears were uncontrollable at this point.

Nathan's hand curled into a fist, "he is going to pay for this," he said through gritted teeth but he realised that in this moment he needed to be there for Maia, "we need to get you out of here and get some fluids back into your system. loosing blood will be a real shock to your system." he put his arm around her, supporting her. "this is my fault, I shouldn't have set you two up. god I'm so fucking sorry Maia." he held her close to him as he made his way out of the club and into the fresh air, tugging on Elijah's jacket to make sure it stayed over her shoulders. "I'm going to kill that asshole," he said in anger, again, more to himself than to anyone else but he meant it.

Elijah watched as they walked out the building and waved once. "Look after her, Nathan. She'll need it when the shock runs out." He warned, turning and strolling into the room he had seen Elizabeth go into. His jaw clenched, hisnhands in fists. He went and stood behind Elizabeth, one hand on her arm. "He isn't worth it. Just make sure he doesn't Come near any of us again." He stared at drake.

Maia leaned into his body, letting out a small sigh of relief, her eyes closing momentarily before looking back up at Nathan. "No.. you're not going anywhere near him, I'm not having him hurt you too. I've learned my lesson." Cuddling into his side, her arm wrapped around his waist as they made their way back down the street and to the school, sliding her key through to unlock her dorm room, she stood there's silent. "I should never have asked you to do it.. inwas just taking my chance with it and I definitely shouldn't have let him make you leave. I'm sorry Nathan." She lifted her head to look up at him.

"I can look after myself but right now I just want to make sure you are going to be alright. for now we both are going to stay far away from him alright?" he said, supporting her as they made their way back up to her dorm room. "none of this is your fault Maia, none of it okay? don't let yourself think that. He had no right treating you like this, it's vile." he looked down at her, touching the side of her cheek before lowering his hand again quickly. "come on, get up onto the bed and take your shoes off. I'll get you some water alright." he said, sliding her door shut and heading into her en-suite.

Elijah let his hand drop to the side and he took a step back. This was her thing now, this had nothing to do with him and his duties, right now Elizabeth had her duties to attend to and he was gonna make sure she followed through and didn't get any consequences. That was his part. A small smirk crossing his lips as she made drake through up. "Right.. let's get out of here, I don't particularly feel like cleaning up human blood and burnt carpet tonight." He took a hold of Elizabeth's hand and pulled her towards the door.

Maia let out a deep sigh, settling her bottom on the edge of her bed, she pulled elijahs jacket a bit tighter round her shoulders, a shiver rolling through her spine. "I just feel so stupid. I trusted him and all I wanted to do was make a good impression, maybe get him on my side. Nobody in this school is on my side, why the fuck did I think a vampire was a good place to start.." she mumbled on, mainly to herself. Reaching down she unbuckled her shoe and kicked them off her feet, lying her torso back on her bed, her hands over her face.

Nathan found a glass and filled it up with water, once that was done he checked in her bathroom cupboard for a first aid box which was standard in every dorm room. Heading back into the main body of her room he couldn't help but feel sorry for her, "I'm on your side," he said quietly, resting himself down beside her, "sit up and have some water, I'll clean up your neck." he handed her the glass once she was upright and with one hand moved her hair away from her neck. He gently dabbed with a damp cloth to remove the drying blood. "on the bright side these bite wounds should heal relatively quickly, I'd say maybe within 48 hours. There won't be any long term affects either, just your body adjusting to the sudden loss of blood and vital nutrients."

Maia pushed herself back up, yet everything was starting to feel like a little more effort and her head becoming very dizzy, a small groan leaving her mouth as she took the glass, sipping the ice cool liquid down slowly. "I dunno what I would have done without you this evening, Nathan. Thank you for well.. everything." She moved her eyes to look at him, lifting her hand to rest it on his cheek. The smallest of smiles on her lips. "You don't have to tell me twice, I feel like my head is about to fall off my shoulders, and everything inside me is aching." She whined, in a rather princess demanding way. A full pout had exposed itself on her face.

"Don't even mention it, who would have thought that from this morning this would be how we ended up tonight huh?" he said, laughing softly at how ridiculous their situation was. "You are looking rather pale," he paused, hoping she didn't take his next suggestion the wrong way, "I think we should maybe get you out of your dress and into something that is both comfy and warm. if you tell me where to find that here I'll grab it and uh, try and help you change but also keep my eyes firmly closed."

I only had two drinks.. that bastard vampire is gonna pay for this." She scowled, opening her eyes back up to look up at Nathan. "I know, not even 24 hours ago you were raiding my room, who would have thought you'd be the one looking after me now." She let out a small giggle, and pointed to the dresser opposite. "My pyjamas are in there." Standing up slowly, she slipped her dress off. "Did you manage to pay that guy what you owe?"

Nathan couldn't agree more, he had wanted to go and punch the guys lights out but he wanted to take care of Maia first and foremost, "Who would have thought, aye." he chuckled, standing up and going over to her dresser, picking out the first pair of pyjamas and turning back around before quickly shutting his eyes when he realised she was getting undressed. He handed her pjs over to her before turning his back to her but standing close enough that if she needed to she could lean on him. He let out a low sigh, "he never showed up and I ended up leaving early anyway.. but I'll try and get in contact tomorrow and explain that something important came up."

Maia took the pyjamas off him, shaking her head. "You don't need to close your eyes Nathan, it's not exactly like we're about the hook up. You can chill out." She rested one hand against his side to steady herself, using her other hand to pull off her underwear and yank her pyjamas on, she soon clambered into bed, smiling at him. "Okay I'm all done, you can turn around now." Running her fingers through her hair, she frowned slightly. "Well if he asks for any more just come to me okay?"

He turned around to see her back in her bed and he couldn't help but smile before it faded again and he nodded, "I will do, thanks again for helping me out in this shitty situation." he sat back down on the edge of the bed, "and you let me know the moment anyone tries to hurt you ever again, alright? And don't you ever feel alone in this school, because you will always have this weirdo around to keep you company."

Maia smiled. He was being such a gentleman, she'd never been treated like this in her entire life as her here this complete stranger was being so caring towards her. "I get it.. it just doesn't bother me. Enough people have seen my bits and pieces, I think my dignity left a long time ago." She joked, pulling the corner of the duvet up so he could sit back down. She didn't want him to go, not just yet. Listening to Nathan speak, it brought tears to her eyes, and suddenly she wrapped her arms around his waist tight, burying her face into him. "No one has ever cared before.." she whispered.
