When I am myself, you act as if I'm lower then you." he stood up out of bed, his muscles pulsing slightly, "So you either stop talking to me or you tell me what the hell you expect me to be. Because you act like you are so above everyone, wow you can read my thoughts, SO WHAT. I could hear you from miles away, smell your scent at places you haven't been for weeks."

"and where is that ever going to get you, adam? you were simply a scientific accident!"

Adam couldn't help but laugh a little. "Is it not obvious?" but he decided to hold back what he wanted to say, her last comment pushing it to far. "You are right." he turned away from her, grabbing a bag from under his bed and shoving two sets of outfits into it before zipping it up and slinging it over his shoulder. "a scientific accident meant for the army to protect this country." he moved past her, bumping her shoulder lightly.

" she fell silent, watching him for a while, before narrowing her eyes. "wait, you can't just go.. what the hell!" she said, but then he budged her, pain shooting through her body, she winced.

Adam heard her wince, dropped his back automatically and rushed beside her. "I knew it. I knew he hurt you." he looked at her dead in the eyes, "where does it hurt? Your shoulder? back? ribs? arm?" he didn't want to seem too hands on but he wanted to know what hurt.

lexi shook her head, trying to stand up properly again, but the pain of her ribs made her double over. "don't worry.. you carry on running off to wherever you were gonna go." she frowned and limp away into the kitchen, to get some paracetamol, tears in her eyes. maybe all this pain wasn't worth the sex after all.

Adam sighed a little, following her into the kitchen. He grabbed hold of the phone, "If you want me to go I'll call an ambulance for you." he said, dialling the numbers on the digit pad but not pressing hold, "Tell me where it hurts the worse and on a scale of 1 to 10. "

"Jesus.." he muttered, thinking of all the ways he wanted to kill the man that dare hurt her like this. He turned away, opened the freezer up and got a bag of frozen pees. "This'll hurt... but it'll help." he lightly pressed the bag against her skin.

He kept the dark part of himself, the part that haunted him through his young years, to himself. "It's ok." he smiled a little bit. Keeping it against her skin but not once looking at places he shouldn't. He was modest. "does anywhere else hurt?"
