lexi frowned as she listened to him. "don't you have a safe place you can run to? that makes me kind of sad. you should always have somewhere to go." she smiled a little, tucking her hair behind her ear. "yeah but I don't want ice packs on my butt. so for now i'll be okay."

"That should feel better soon, want me to carry you to your bed? Resting would be best for you."

I care about you, believe it or not. we've known each other for a while now and I know you aren't made to kill." she stroked his cheek with the back of her hand. "uhm.. no. I think i'll manage. plus I don't want to be bed bound." she shook her head, standing up slowly.

Adam smiled a little bit, "thanks Lexi. it means a lot, ya know, to hear that you don't think I'm just a killing device." he moved the frozen pees away, hovering his arms near her in case she fell. "Well.. if you won't stay in bed, at least keep these on your sore area for a bit." he handed the pees to her.

lexi pulled on her underwear, and then a pair of tiny shorts and a baggy shirt. she dried her hair and then tied it up in a ponytail. she put on some knee high socks, grabbed her bag of frozen peas and went back downstairs, giving him a little smile. "i'm back." she sat on the sofa.

Turning back round she grabbed onto Declans hand, "we are going. If you breath a word of the pregnancy to father - you better hope she saves your life." Clara stormed out and off out of sight. Daisy whispered, "wow..nice family".

Adam couldn't help but smile when she came down the stairs. "Now you won't catch a cold from the damp hair" he stared a moment to long before pulling his eyes away. "I think celebrity big brother starts in five, if you want to watch that? There isn't much on tv. And the other two are still out doing .. Whatever"

lexi nodded her head slowly. "yeah, that sounds good to me. I was thinking of making dinner. fancy anything?" she stood back up, resting the frozen bag down on the sofa, she moved slowly into the kitchen where she began to hunt for something to eat in the fridge. "how about some.. spaghetti on toast?" she sighed as he closed the fridge again. her appetite wasn't very big at that moment.

Adam watched her get up, hoovering after almost automatically in case she fell and hurt herself. "I'll order something in later on. But I think you need to try something. Because you drank a lot and it's not going to help you. And if you end up being sick it'll hurt your rib more."

lexi raised an eyebrow. "if anything the alcohol is the only thing helping right now. it hurts a lot but i'm managing. like I aid before, you don't need to worry about me, adam." she sighed quietly, but turned, and went and sat back down ont he sofa. she was very stubborn, and didn't like letting people help her or care for her.

Grabbing onto it he went back through into the living room and handed her the bar before sitting down. "At least give it a go"

"I know and it's sweet. i'm just saying don't feel like you need to. don't take pity on me, adam." she shrugged and crossed her legs, pulling a blanket up on her lap. she tucked her hair behind her ears, smiling just a little bit when he handed her the chocolate bar. "oh, thank you." she rested it on her leg and broke it into pieces, slowly eating it. "mm, delicious."
