Zane kept stealing a glance at her as she listened to the song and as it finished he could tell she had enjoyed it. "Well I look forward to your full verdict tonight Mila," he said softly and now they were standing very close together and he yearned to pull her in for a kiss but the next thing there was a knock on the door and he lifted his head up and put on a smile when he saw Ryan. "You can head off early, I'll finish locking up for the night."

Ryan had changed after work to something a bit more casual, a simple pair of skinny jeans and a v neck black top paired with his leather jacket. He was excited to see Mila at work, he hadn't been by the studio for a week or so and when she came running towards him he grinned, "hey beautiful," he said as she took his hand and he pulled her close for a kiss.

Mila was quite glad that Ryan had turned up, because this was just stupid. That kiss had meant nothing, surely, and she was pretty sure Zane was just messing with her. Of course he was, she was fresh meat and he was just pushing her to her limits. "How was your day at work?" She smiled, kissing him gently. She turned to Zane and nodded, going to grab her jacket and bag, slinging it across her body. "I'll see you later!" She called, before walking back to Ryan and heading out with him. They could grab a bite to eat before the gig.

Mila cuddled into his side, it felt nice to have him holding her like this because she was starting to feel like he didn't care, but just to feel his warmth and the smell of his aftershave was enough to make her fall in love all over again. Yeah, this was what she wanted. "Wow, I'm glad they didn't ruin your handsome face. My day? Eh, it was okay. Nothing out of the ordinary." She didn't know why but she didn't feel like telling him about her exciting news, kind of like it was special between her and Zane or something. She went and sat down at the tbsle, shrugging her jacket off. "I feel a bit underdressed for being here."

"You and me both," he chuckled as he picked up the menu, "did you do any more piercings?" he asked conversationally. He wasn't aware of the learning process for becoming a tattoo artist so he never really knew exactly how long it would take before she could be tattooing on skin. "you look stunning Mila don't worry about it, I just wanted to treat you to some of your favourite food."

It was her favourite place, she was a sucker for their food but she also knew it was pricey too, which meant either Ryan had some bad news or he really was making up with her. "Honestly no, today was really boring, I just watched Zane in all of his appointments and he was talking through everything. But he did say he's ordered some practise equipment that I can use tomorrow." She ruffled her fringe around, wishing she'd had chance to go home.

Ryan was fancying something a bit different from his usual but at the same time he was a sucker for sweet and sour chicken so when the waiter came over he placed his usual order and so did Mila. He reached his hand out over the table to hold onto Milas hand, "that's pretty exciting stuff then, you'll have to take some pictures to show me." he said with a smile. He was glad that they weren't fighting anymore and that whatever this mornings little bicker was that they could put it all behind then, "I'm excited about tonight though, haven't heard Zane and his band perform for a few years now."

Mila felt her smile grew, taking a hold of his hand, her thumb stroking along his knuckles gently. This was the sweet Ryan she knew and it felt like she was falling in love all over again, and it was nice. Maybe the romance wasn't completely dead. "Oh yeah, I forgot to say, he let me draw a piece for a customer today, lemme show you!" She pulled her phone out from her bag and landed up the picture, seeing Zane had sent her a cheeky text but she ignored it and swiped it away and then loaded the picture, passing it over to him.

Ryan loved the way her lips curled up when she was smiling and seeing her grow into this fine young lady made him just fall more and more in love with her. The confidence she had gained since being free of her parents clutches was unbelievable. "Seriously?! please show me!" he said, an excited grin on his face as she passed the phone over and he saw her design. "holy shit Mila this is gorgeous," he said as he zoomed the photo in so he could take in all the little details, "I've never seen you draw anything like this before but .. wow!"

Mila was excited now that he was showing some interest, she knew it wasn't Ryan's type of thing but she was really interested in her line of work and seeing him enjoying it made her feel like she was working towards something she wanted. "Yeah, thrnguy ssked for something and Zane made me draw it up, I wasn't allowed to do the line work but Zane said I might be able to help on the shading." She took her phone back, sitting back when their food arrived.

He was starving, the cafeteria food had been pretty shit today so this food was much needed. "I was thinking do you maybe want to go out somewhere at the weekend? maybe check out the museum or something, just the two of us?"

"That would be nice, id love that. We haven't gone anywhere for a while." She smiled. "We could pack a little picnic."

Ryan listened as she talked with such excitement and passion, it was one of the things she loved about her. When her heart was set on something she was so focused, "I'm sure it will all go well for you babe, I have faith." he ate his own dinner rather quickly and felt full once the plates were cleared. As the server came over he paid for all of it wish his card. "a picnic would be good as well, then it's settled its a date." he said playfully before rising from his seat and putting his jacket on, heading back outside hand in hand with her.

Mila loved to hear that from him, to know that he was actually supporting her, because sometimes she really doubted herself. He'd parents had always put her down and told her to take the conventional route so these were some big steps she was taking and sometimes she was just a little unsure. She leaned back in her seat once she was full, feeling slightly bloated and honestly, all she wanted to do was go to sleep, but they had plans. So, and she walked out with him, squeezing his fingers gently. "I know I say this every time, but I really do love you in that leather jacket."

Ryan walked hand in hand with Mila down the street towards the club that the gig was taking place in and he smiled down at her, "maybe thats why I wore it tonight," he said with a cheeky little grin and as they approached the venue he saw a massive line and people holding onto tickets, "did Zane give you anything for us to actually get in with?" he said as he frowned, the last thing he could be bothered doing was lining up for an hour just to get inside.
