Rays mother, Gloria, cupped charlottes face and beamed down at heel, nodding in approval. "Ray really has told me all about you, how lovely you are. And that horrible ex boyfriend of yours. I'm glad you had ray to look after you now." She kissed her cheek and then bustled off to speak to the rest of the family. Ray rubbed at his forward, feeling a little awkward, shoving his hands into his pockets. "Sorry about that. I kind of blurted out a load of stuff the other day when she kept pestering me about you. And I showed her approximately one photo of you and she's already obsessed." He grinned, looking around. "The venue isn't too far, would you like to head over now?" He asked.

Mila just shrugged again. "You said giunneeded space and I was giving it to you, we needed that time apart and giving in to your texts or calls wouldn't have been right." She said quietly. Picking up the menu she browsed through it, it was just a small brunch menu but she hadn't eaten for today, she'd been slumped in bed all morning. "I think I'll have a cheese toasties and a chocolate milkshake." The waitress came over and took their order and Mila handed her card over to pay for it. This was awkward and she just wanted to go back tonwhen they used to be so happy and care free.

Ryan focused on the words across the page of the menu rather than coming back with some sort of retort because her logic really didn't make sense to him. "and I will have the bbq pulled pork toastie with a black coffee please," he said with a smile and before he could get his wallet out Mila had already offered up her card as payment. "thanks," he said with a smile and he reached his hand out across the table to take one of hers. While he wasn't sure if she even wanted him to touch her he had to try, "I couldn't stop thinking about you, wasn't the same being in the house alone."

Mila slid her card back into her bag and then rested her bagn in the ground next to her, leaning her forearms on the table and looked around the little cafe, and then back at him, as Ryan took her hand. It felt almost alien, he hadn't touched her in days and his skin was still smooth and warm and she smiled down stbtheir hsnds, but a small sigh escaped from her lips. "You're the one that wanted me gone, Ryan." She said quietly. She didn't get it any more, he was the knew that told her to leave, but he had missed her too?

While we were apart I spent a few days really upset and I thought that maybe everything we had was gone." letting a small sigh out he continued, "but the thing is Mila no matter how badly it hurt all I could think about was our future and just spending time with you and that adorable onesie you have. The time apart just made it clear to me that we are worth fighting for. What we have is so rare and special to me that I can't afford to lose it .. but when you didn't respond I started to worry that you had maybe realised the opposite."

He teased her as he pulled up into the car oark and got out my grabbing his sunglasses and sliding glass them on. There was an outdoor part to this venue where they could hang out. "I'm starving, let's head inside."

Mila let her thumb trace over his knuckles gently as he spoke and she let him take his turn. This was their chance to be grown ups and talk about their feelings, and he was melting her heart with how much he had missed her. But then it was her time to talk and she cleared her throat. "Ryan I need to be honest with you." She frowned, trying to be brave. "I feel like you dont love me like you used to." She said finally, letting her eyes meet his. "I feel like you're bored of me now."

Ryan listened to her speak and he felt like his heart had just vanished and his head was filled with question marks. Here he was confessing how much he cared for her and she was still adamant that he didn't love her? Even though she was the one sleeping with other men. "Are you serious Mila?" he said, running his free hand through his hair and shaking his head, "I don't know how else to prove to you that I love you. This last week I maybe haven't loved you like I use to because I've been hurt but thats something that takes time, trust and commitment."

I can certainly move my hips when I need to." He teased.

Mila wasn't projecting her feelings very well and she pouted a little, sitting up when their brunch was brought over and she let his hand go, picking up half of her toastie and taking a large bite. "I didn't say you didn't love me, you're twisting my words." She look a slurp from her milkshake, meeting his eyes again. "But I just don't feel like you love me like you used to. I can't remember the last time we had sex." She kept her voice los, not wanting anyone to catch onto their conversation.

Ryan felt like thats exactly what her words meant but perhaps not, he picked up his toastie and took a few bites of it as she spoke. It was true, they hadn't slept together over the last few weeks but things had been stressful. "thats fair, but I have just been feeling stressed with the baby and work and sometimes I've felt like you've just been too distant so I just figured you weren't in the mood." taking another bite of his food he swallowed before continuing, "I realise now that I never even asked you if you wanted too I just sort of figured we were both feeling the same way so I'm sorry."

Mila always got embarrassed talking about this type of thing. She didn't like to complain but to her it was a really important part of their relationship. She reckoned that was probably why when Zane had given her an inch, she had taken a whole ten from him. "It's okay. I never spoke about how I felt either, I just let it all build up and bubble away. This is my fault too, I just wanted to tell you how I feel." This was the calmed Mila had ever been in a discussion and she was actually proud of herself.

Ryan gave her a small smile as she spoke and he was glad that she saw that it was both parties at fault. "thats what we both need to work on just talking to each other about how we are feeling," he gave her hand a little squeeze before eating more of his food. "but I do want you to come back home, this time apart has been much harder than I could have ever expected. and I'll make you a promise right here and now, I will be better at showing you how much I love you and I'll treat you the way you deserve to be treated."

Mila nodded. "I just get shy sometimes and think that you don't want to listen to me whining or whatever. But it's important that we talk about how we feel, otherwise this isn't going to work any more." She frowned. "And I want it to work. Because I love you, I do. And I want you to be my past, my present and my future." She bit down on her bottom lip, her eyes finally locking with his as she gazed over at him. Ryan was the man she always wanted in her life and she didn't know why she had ever doubted that. He was just far too kind.

No matter how ridiculous or small you think it might be." When she said she wanted him as his past, present his future his heart about exploded and he leaned forward to give her a kiss, his hand against her cheek as he held her close for a moment before sitting back down. "you are my forever Mila. I promise you that."

And it seemed that way, and the way Charlotte was dancing along was enough to make him want to marry her there and then.

Mila was glad they were finally on the same page. She was always afraid that whatever she had to say was too immature and she didn't like to pester him for attention but st the same time, she really needed it. She leaned over and kissed him back and the butterflies that she felt were phenomenal. They were back and stronger than ever. "Okay good cos I don't wanna go anywhere." She smiled and settled back down in her seat, finishing off her brunch.

Ryan could feel the butterflies inside of him as if it was their first ever kiss. "Good because I don't want to lose you at all." As the settled back in their seats and finished off their food. He sipped down the remainder of his coffee before messing around his hair as he watched her carefully, "do you want to get out of here? We could pick up some ingredients to make something tasty like fudge maybe or a cheesecake." he was trying to make the idea of going home a little less scary to her.

He teased, getting himself a fruity cider and then resting his hand on the small of her back and leading her back to their table so they can chill out. "Thanks for coming by the way. I didn't really have anyone else to ask. You're such a good friend, Charlotte."

Mila felt like hpjumping on Ryan there and then for a super duper cuddle but they had all the time in the world for that. She chewed on her straw as she listened to him and she shook her head. "We have a nursery to shop for, remember?" She was still trying to stay positive about the whole baby thing and show Ryan she was capable of being an adult. "But we should also make some cheese cake when we're back." She agreed, biting on her bottom lip gently.
