Ryan felt relieved that she had brought it up because he didn't want to be too pushy about Grace's nursery needing done. Especially not when Mila had just admitted that she didn't feel like he was showing her enough love or attention. "That we do, well it seems we have a busy day ahead of us." once they finished off their food and drink he slid his hand into hers to help her up before pulling her in for a hug. He didn't want to be too affectionate in the middle of the cafe because that would be a little awkward but he needed this embrace. "lets get going," he said softly as he kept her hand in his and lead her out to the car.

Mila grinned. "I love a busy weekend, especially when it's with you." She took his hand and stood up, hanging her bag across her body she let her hands squeeze him when they hugged. Even just that little bit of affection meant a lot to her. Following him out to the car she got in, wincing a little bit, the seats were so hot from the sun against her thighs and she rubbed at them laughing. "I can't believe how nice the weather is today." She pushed some hair behind her ear.

Ryan pulled his car door open and slid in to the drivers seat, "jeez" he said more to himself than anyone else. The car felt like an oven and he was sure that they would melt if they stayed inside it for too long. He chuckled a little as Mila winced as her flesh hit the leather seats, "it's unbelievable, maybe its a sign for us though." While Ryan wasn't particularly superstitious he did like to believe that the universe would give him signs as a nudge that he was going the right way with his life. "first stop, ikea!" he cheered as he put the car in reverse and sped along the road. It was a short ten minute journey and they arrived in no time, thankfully, and this time he found a parking space int he shade.

Mila pushed the windows open as soon a she started up the car and let her hand hang out the window, grasping at the air and leaning her head back. Things were going to be okay, they were in love and they'd finally spoke about it like adults. Ryan had forgiven her, and that was the main thing she wanted from this. "God it's going to be packed in here isn't it, the first good weekend of the month, I bet everyone will be out buying all their diy." She laughed as she got out and wrapped her bag back over her body, taking his hand and they grabbed one of the big trolleys and then headed inside.

"and picking up their barbecues, maybe we should pick up one of those instant ones actually." As he tapped his pockets to make sure he had his wallet, phone and his keys were in his hands - perfect. Locking the car he headed over to her with the trolley, "before we go in.." he said and he turned her to face him, running his hand against her cheek and then into her hair a little as he pressed a passionate kiss to her lips. After a moment or two had passed he pulled away and they entered the shop.

He could have kissed her if he wanted to, and there was nothing she could do about it.

Mila nodded her head in agreement. "Yes! We can get some drinkies too that will be fun." She grinned at him and she was about to push them in.. until she was stopped and given possibly the most passionate kiss she'd had in months and her eyes grew wide as she gazed up at him. That so was out of character for Ryan and she kind of loved it, it was the excitement that Mila craved. "Okay, good, yeah." She tugged her dress down, composing herself as she walked in behind him, giggling slightly. "So do you have a list?"

"we will have earned them after all of our DIY skills are put to the test!" he teased and followed her inside the large Ikea store. "a list.. yes!" he pulled his wallet out and removed a small sheet of paper which he had to unfold. "the main thing is a cot, along with a high chair - I've already gone halves on a pram which we can share.. did you know those things are like £100?! Thought she was pulling my leg at the time and was half tempted to get the £20 ones made for those Baby Born dolls." he chuckled.

Mila was excited now. They'd done the garden up a little bit ready for the summer and a little barbecue and having a good time was just what she needed. "We need a trampoline." She announced, Grace wouldn't be able to use it for a couple of years but Mila would certainly get some use out of it. She pushed the trolley as Ryan picked up the boxes and things he'd already got a list of what he actually needed to pick up. "Yeah somehow I don't think Kelly would approve of that baby." She laughed a little.

Ryan cocked his eyebrow at the mention of a trampoline, this was definitely not a purchase meant for Grace but it did sound like a hell of a lot of fun, "We could get one as long as it has a safety net thing for when Grace is old enough." he chuckled. Whenever they spotted something from his list he would plop it on to the trolley and while it was still light enough for Mila to push around it stayed that way. "Probably not but she never approved of much anyway so maybe now is my time to rebel." he teased and as they came along the trampoline isle he stopped. "okay how big do you want?" he asked.

"Oh look at you rebelling against Kelly, she deserves it though the cow.." she muttered. Mila was convinced the kiss was probably all Kelly's fault and she definitely wasn't holding that against Ryan any more. Her eyes browsed along the different option and she pointed to a six foot round one, that came with a net. "There, perfect. We can put it at the bottom of the garden with a swimming pool in front." She teased.

Shaking his head a little he moved forward and picked up a box for the trampoline she had picked out, "now I'm not sure about a swimming pool because that would also mean getting little Grace swimming lessons and that requires me to trust a stranger to teach her how to swim.. baby steps." he said, thinking the use of baby was funny in this instance. Now that the wide trolley was filling up he began pushing it as they continued on. "I'm glad you are here with me princess, I really missed you."

Mila stood next to him now instead of pushing the trolley and her hands held onto the strap of her across the body bag as they wandered up and down, they headed to the part of the store where there was the small little accessories and things for them to grab to really decorate graces room. Mila had an idea in mind, a woodland kind of theme with cute little bunnies and stuff. "Ha ha ha, you're so funny." She rolled her eyes playfully at his joke, picking up s lamp in the shape of a bunny. "I missed you too." He really was trying to melt her in the middle of the IKEA aisles.

When Ryan and Mila entered the accessory isle he felt lost in a sea of options because this was the part where his list ended. Of course the room needed some sort of decoration and toys but how was he meant to decide that? As Mila picked up a cute bunny lamp he smiled, it was definitely going to work and he looked around at the other options but decided to let her pick out most of the bits and bobs. What he did select was a really cute small giraffe plush, "I think thats about everything, at least that my bank account can afford." he teased as they headed to the checkout. Trying not to think about the cost he swiped his card and they headed out to his car where they spent around fifteen minutes playing Tetris to get everything to fit.

"God I know who new a tiny little human could cost so much money." She shook her head and helped him put everything into the car and then climbed back in, cranking the radio a bit higher and leaning her head back, letting out a yawn. "Have you and Kelly decided in how often you're going to see Grace?" She asked, intrigued.

Ryan had definitely not planned to spend so much money but he had a good paying job and plenty of savings so it wasn't the worst thing in the world, "you can say that again! No one warns you how expensive this parent business is." Once everything was finally in the boot they got into the front of the car and he pulled out of the car park and headed for home. "we were thinking of rotating every two weeks, and then for her first birthday spend it together because we agreed it would probably be unfair for either of us to miss it. But going forward it would be taking turns, same with Christmas and what not. I don't know how well it'll work out but this is a learning curve for us all."
