Violet bit down on her lip and grabbed hold of his hand gently as she walked alongside him. That single touch made butterflies fly in her stomach and she just wondered if he felt the same. The fact that even though she loved Freddie very much, he couldn't make her feel the way Caden did. Being beside Caden just made her feel safe. As she listened to him begin to talk she was already confused. But when he referred to her as a 'subject', her head fell as she tried to hide how hurt she felt. "I'm not a subject. I'm the same person i've always been. A stupid, normal human. I don't get why everyone thinks I have some special power but don't refer to me as some subject."

She took a deep breath and sighed quietly as she calmed back down. "So, if your in that world...does that mean your not human? That your one of those cool creature's like a vampire or something?" Her eyes glimmered with interest. She always enjoyed reading about mythical creatures but she never suspected anything to be true until now. What scared her however, was the idea that whatever Caden had become changed who he was. Or was that this hunting job. "Wait. Did you say your could get killed?! Are you serious? What's your job here meant to be? I haven't ruined it have i?" Panic filled her mind as she went over the possibility that she would loose him again. She couldn't take it, especially knowing he could die. She rested her head on his shoulder as she closed her eyes, "Are you going to leave me again?..."

You know, not 100% human but count as human. Say, a demon and a human got... kids. They look like humans but aren't. Halfbloods are rare nowadays."

"A long time ago, the Hunter Circle found out that creatures were hiding with the humans. We couldn't stop them or find every creature so... you can say that ever since them the Human race hasn't been what it used to be. My spiece, however, look like humans and many along my kind live side by side with humans. It's when we turn a special age we get talents that makes moving, fighting and stuff like that easier. I'm not one bit human. You can be some kind of mutation. It wouldn't be impossible." He didn't know what to answer on her last questions. When she moved closer he let her rest her head. She probably needed it even if every cell in his body were trained not to come this close to.... to persons that the hunter in question found as an intrest.

"I don't want to lie to you. I have to take care of your... boyfriend... and if you aren't anything that can explain the current activites in this town then I'm afraid that I have to move on to another mission."

Violet looked down sadly as he spoke about what she supposedly was. How could her best friend tell her that there wasn't a 'term' to call her. She was still the same person, she was a human and she didn't have a clue what was going on that made people think otherwise. "I am a human Caden. You know that. There is nothing different about me so I don't understand why people keep saying i'm something i'm not. Surely I would know myself if I wasn't a human." She sighed and crossed her arms as she calmed herself down, lifting her head to look at him as he continued to speak.

He wasn't a human. He was some type of species with special powers and it just sounded crazy. Everything he said sounded insane but she couldn't help but believe every word he spoke. She trusted him to much to not believe him. "So...You have powers? And if your not human then what are you exactly? Isn't there some kind of name for what you are? Your parents, what were they?" She knew she was asking way to many questions but she couldn't help it. She needed to try and understand everything about who and what he was. "I'm sorry for all the questions..." She smiled a little when he let her lean on him. She wrapped her arms around him, "I miss this, hugging you every day. I miss my best friend."

The moment he told her that he would kill her boyfriend and leave, her heart broke once again. She pulled out of his arms and blinked back her tears as she looked up at him. "So that's it...your just going to leave me again? Your going to take away the one person I have left and then leave. It's like you actually enjoy hurting me and leaving me broken with nothing. I can't believe I even thought it would be different this time. I can't believe I still trusted you after all of this time!" She turned away and shut her eyes, not wanting him to see her cry.

His moral was higher than everything and that.. that made him able to sacrifice her. That was wicked.. or.. would he be able to sacrifice her? He looked at her with a confused look. He stared at her lips. No. He would never be able to do that. When she came a bit closer he was on the edge to do something stupid. Did she miss being with him? He hadn't almost remebered her. The only part that he hated about what she said was that she called him her best friend. He wasn't her friend.. he had never been her friend.. not really. He had always wanted to be something more. When she pulled herself from him it felt like he shattered.

"If you had a choice... Who would you chose between me and him?" Yes. That was the choice really. He already knew what he would chose. He didn't want to die yet. He had so much to see.. he had so much he wanted to do. He stared at her lips again.. could he just... could he? If he didn't take that creatures life then the Hunter Circle would take his, prince or not.
"If you say him then I promise you that I won't hurt him. I will leave and... face my fate. But... if you chose me then.. then you have to understand that his life needs to be taken. I know it sounds absurd but... it's my life. You don't have to be a part of it if you don't want to.. but know. You have another choice now. You can come with me." He grabbed her arm and.. then he did the stupid thing he wanted to do. He kissed her. Not in a forcefull way but passionate. He met her lips like that was the only thing it was suppose to be. He had always wanted to taste her lips... was this the way other creature felt about him? Was... was she feeling it to? Becuase she was a drug to him. He kissed her deeper.

How was she meant to choose between her current boyfriend and the man she had loved all her life. Of course she loved her boyfriend but the fact was how could she choose who got to live or die. It was cruel and it hurt her deeply. However, knowing he would risk his own life for her happiness gave her her answer. It had always been Caden. She couldn't live without him any longer but she still feared loosing him. Either way, if she really had to choose then Caden would be the one to live. Then came his second choice, he said she could go with him. She could leave the town that she always wanted to get away from and run free with the man she loved.

Before she even had her chance to answer, his hand caught her arm, bringing her body closer to his. Within a second his soft lips were on hers and it set her whole body alight. This was what she had waited for. This was a feeling that no one else could give her accept him because they loved each other and they belong together. Nothing had ever felt more right in her life than in that moment. Her fingers lacing into his hair to bring him closer as she kissed him back deeply. All this time she had been wondering how he really felt for her but now she knew. Well at least she hoped he felt the same way. That he felt the same explosion of loving emotions when they kissed and that it just felt right when they were together.
