Plot:
In 1890, the United States government caught wind of peculiar beings, humans with mysterious, inexplicable powers. They began collecting them and initiated classified testing on these people. They were tortured, dissected, and examined to find exactly what caused their abnormalities. All of their research came up empty, and there was no explanation on what caused them to have these abilities. They were built like every other human on earth.
In 2010, the United States government ceased all testing on these abnormal human beings, and decided to collect them from all over the world, training them to be the perfect army of superhumans. They developed a town in the middle of nowhere, built it from the ground up, and gave them the means to support themselves. The town was unnamed to keep it classified, however its inhabitants gave it their own name. The town of Secret. Secret holds some of the strongest, most unnatural human beings. At first glance, it looks like any other small town in the country. But each of its townspeople has their own secret ability, unknown to the outside world. New people pop up all the time, each with a more and more obscure ability. They are trained to unleash the full potential of their powers until the government may need them. Until then, they are just a group of people, often ripped away from their families and everything they've ever known, just trying to make the most of what they've been given.
Now, it's 2017, and the people of Secret have had time to come to grips with their new reality. New people show up all the time, but it's easy to adjust in such a welcoming town of freaks.

Rules:
1. No God-Modding. No controlling others characters. You're only in control of what your character does.
2. Be polite. No fighting. Drama between characters is fine, drama between roleplayers is not.
3. When talking out of character, always label with ooc; before saying what you have to.
4. Full sentences are required. Preferably 2-3 sentences minimum per reply. More is best if you can stretch it. If not, make an attempt to get the other person to type more so you have more to reply to, like having your character ask a question.
5. You can have multiple characters. No more then you can handle, though. And preferably no more than three per person.
6. Characters must be 16+ and are only allowed one power each.

Name: Charlie Argo
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Previous Location: New York City, New York, United States
Power: Shapeshifting
Personality: Charlie is a natural mischief-maker. She normally outcasts herself, finding refuge in reading books in isolation. However, she's anything but a bad friend. Though she has few, she would do anything for the ones she does keep around. She can often be sarcastic, and slightly intimidating, but when she gets close to someone, they tend to see how sweet and caring she is to the core.
Appearance: Charlie stands rather short, at 5'1. She maintains a healthy weight, even though it would really take a matter of seconds for her to transform her body into something more lush, or more thin. Her hair color constantly changes, to the point where you can never be sure what her natural hair color is. For the most part, it seems to remain a pale pink. Her skin is normally very pale as well. Her eye color ranges from all white, to all black, or shifting rainbows in between, but generally stands at a powdery lilac. Her clothing style often shifts as well, but she's often seen around Secret wearing her forest green hoodie and some torn jeans ( most likely lacking shoes ).
History: Charlie was ripped away from her home before she could even remember. It has been said that she was scooped away as soon as she was born, when the doctors watched her appearance change from the moment she left her mother's womb. She has been under the care of the government for all 21 years of her life. Since she was still a minor when the changes between torture to nurture were made, she was never really experimented on, though she has memories of others she knew who had been killed in vain. She was the youngest resident of Secret when it began, and has watched it develop and change over the seven years. Charlie, unlike many of the people in Secret, have no idea what it's like to live on the outside, and often finds herself dreaming of the big cities and the Normals inhabiting them.

At the top of a hill sat a lonely tree, the oldest tree in the town. Charlie plopped down next to it, leaning her back against the thick, aging trunk. Next to the tree stood an old, weathered, hand-drawn sign that Charlie had helped the other inhabitants make years ago with the words, "Welcome to Secret" scribbled on them in a black Sharpie someone had stolen from a classroom. She propped her knees up and laid her notebook against her thighs, taking her pen and writing as she did every day.

(I think I'm down ^^)

Name: Yitzhak Tal Shain; goes by Isaak

Age: 18

Gender: M

Previous Location: Netivot, Israel

Power: Healing

Personality: Isaak is a trusting and trustworthy kid who's always been friendly and sweet to everyone. He does not judge other people before knowing them, often making him the victim of mistreatment. It never keeps him from being optimistic, though. He's extremely passive, refuses to get into conflict and fight anyone partly out of fear and also because he just isn't an aggressive or violent person. He has an easy sense of humor, smiles through the darkest times, and tries to love everyone. His type is ISFP, as he is quite shy, but likes to observe everything around him. He can be emotional at times, but hides out of embarrassment. He often seems like he's a weird, quiet kid, staring at people and smiling at them... His confidence is very shaky, always second guessing himself and sometimes overthinking, as he often doesn't have friends to talk things through with.

Appearance: Isaak Shain has thick, blonde, loose curls cut to stay out of his eyes and is never so long as to pass the nape of his neck. He shaves every other day to keep his face clean shaven as he has bald spots on his chin and cheeks so he can't grow a full beard anyway. His eyes are blue, only really noticeable in brightly lit areas, otherwise they look grey. His most prominent feature is his nose, the bridge and tip is thin, and his nostrils are average, but the nose is long and is rotated slightly downward. His face is a bit round and soft, skin is light, slightly tan, and his body is skinny. His high metabolism won't let him gain weight even though he can eat all day everyday. Standing at about 5"8, he is just average height, very skinny and bony limbs and hands.

History: In 1999, Isaak was born in Gaza, where his mother was visiting from America with her recently married husband. After his birth, the three moved together as a family in Senior Shain's hometown of Netivot where they stayed put. Isaak came from a very rich family, his mother owning a business with plenty of loyal patrons and his father was a rabbi that taught at a Conservative Jewish Synagogue. His father was Haredi and taught Isaak to be as well. However, Isaak practices a more Dati Jewish way of life, also sometimes living as a Reform Jew instead of a Conservative one, so he isn't as religious as his father would want him to be. Sometimes his father would try to tell him what to believe, and Isaak wouldn't say anything to him. His mother was completely supportive. She's where he gets his own kindness.

He found out about his power when he was about seven, but his mother knew all along, as she suffered absolutely nothing after birth. She kept it to herself, believing Isaak a blessed gift that should be protected until needed. Isaak found an injured bunny on the side of the road outside his father's synagogue, and when he picked it up, wanting to take it to be helped, it jumped out of his hands, completely fine all of a sudden. Isaak couldn't chase the bunny fast enough. He kept it a secret to himself as well for a while, not actually having to use his power very often.

One day, when he was 17, there was a tragic situation that compelled him to help the people of his town. As has happened in the past, there was an attack on his town from a Grad missle shot from Gaza. Many died, and even more were injured, he wanted to heal them all, but not everyone saw it as a gift. He could help quite a few back on their feet in the middle of the crisis, but he didn't get to everyone fast enough, and when the pressure became too much, his power stopped working all together. Some were convinced that he might as well have shot the missle. Nothing more could be done. In the silence afterward, Isaak was sent away, not allowed to say goodbye to his parents or his younger sister.

This sounds like so much fun!

I'm conflicted about whether to make a character that has been is Secret for a little while or someone completely new...

It was completely unnecessary for two scary looking men in uniforms to be escorting Isaak anywhere. Honestly, what did they think he was going to do? Fight them? Yeah right. They're both towering over him on either side of him, weapons on their person. Probably just protocol... Still, though. He wasn't entirely sure where he was going. When he asked, either he was shushed or answered too vaguely. He knows for a fact that his English is good enough to understand them if they said anything to be understood. His mother made sure of that.

Speaking of, he wanted to ask when he'd see his family again. He almost did before, but his voice was never loud enough. Once he got where ever he was going, he could find a way back. Where ever he was, it seemed like it wouldn't get many visitors despite looking like a normal enough place. The road here was surrounded by air and nothing but. Inside the town's borders, it didn't feel very lively. The buildings all looked nice and clean, though. This place didn't seem bad at all.

Isaak had to be shown around the place. Exactly how free to roam was he, he wondered as he was taken from room to room in one of the shiny buildings he didn't often see back home. He was given a room. He had a bed, a pillow and a blanket. Thankful for that, he immediately made himself at home on the vacant rest. It was just slightly more springy than his own bed back home, but it wasn't hard as a rock, and it wasn't cold in here. This resting place before going back home wasn't so bad. He still just wasn't entirely sure why he was here or what these people wanted from him.

He'd no idea where he was. He'd been on a plane and then after that...? Time had been moving passed him too quickly for him to notice everything. He was afraid his life was going to change for good, that he'd never see his family again. Keeping hope alive, he closed his eyes and imagined sitting next to his younger sister reading her a story like he so often did on their lazy days.
