this account has actually existed since 2016! and what keeps happening is that every couple of years or so i remember VP exists, play for about a month, buy some clothes and earn some fans, and then i forget about it and drift away. but then i remember it again a few years later because i think stuff like 'god i miss avatar forum sites' and then i'm like OH YEAH i have a virtualpopstar account! plus is this site one of the last ones that even exists anymore? it's been so long

anyway i think the reason i keep getting bored and slipping away for years is because although i post on the forums every now and again i don't really actually know anyone and i think it's also hard to judge sometimes how friendly to be... idk whether everybody in the forums is super close or whether it's normal to speak super informally to everyone

regardless! i would like to talk to more people on this site

and hopefully get to know the community a little bit better. so i'll start and say that i'm johanna from the UK! and i'm 22. i like video games and 1980s music and i'm *trying* to get back into VP for real this time

omg so i used to play project diva ALL the time but after the PS Vita became obsolete i kind of forgot about it - i wasn't aware project sekai existed but i just googled it and i will definitely download now because i used to love rhythm games and vocaloid and so i especially loved PD hehe

I actually don't really listen to music so my main source of vocaloid music is through playing the game, but hey the characters are cute, the music slaps and who wouldn't die for gacha

And to comment on how this community is, as you can say with most communities people are different and type differently and I'd say being friendly wont be out of place. If you see a thread with a conversation already ongoing, don't hesitate to jump in :-D I speak informally to all :-D

so many tbh omg but i love ace attorney (which i can see from your profile that you also do), the zero escape series, persona, fire emblem, pokemon, animal crossing, sims, harvest moon/story of seasons/rune factory. and ive kind of grown out of them now but in my younger days i also used to love danganronpa and twewy. as well as project diva ofc!!

oh ok good taste!! these are all good. yes i love ace attorney and i'm trying to bully friends into playing it (to little avail). how many of the aa games have u played? i'm just asking because sometimes someone tells me they like ace attorney and i'm like "omg, what did u think about turnabout for tomorrow?? don't u think athena deserves more screen time?? do u like nahyuta??" and they're confused because they've only played the trilogy and have no idea what i'm talking about

i'm getting back into fire emblem rn :3 it had been a while since i last played/watched other ppl play but i finally bought three houses just a few months ago and now i've been revisiting some of the old games

i played the trilogy, apollo justice, dual destinies, and around half of spirit of justice? but i stopped halfway through soj because i moved house and didn't bring my 3DS with me and then by the time i moved back to my parents' i had just forgotten about it :'( i also played the professor layton crossover LMAO. i just recently bought the great ace attorney too and am playing through case 2 of the first game rn!!!

when it comes to fire emblem i'm definitely one of those people who only got into it after awakening came out and knows nothing about the older games LMAO but i would like to get into them when i have time

okok nice definitely good taste then lol, u should know how many times i've been heartbroken after talking to people who say they're a fan of the series who then go on to say "actually everything outside of the trilogy is a waste of time". especially when they seemingly hate aa4 the most because it's my favorite (along with investigations 2) 💔💔 and it took me a few years to actually get through soj. not sure why i got held up first, but then i ended up getting the entire thing spoiled for me and never got around to fully finishing it personally until last year lmao
layton crossover is the only one i haven't played!!! :0 i'm planning on it but have no idea when... and ofc i've had the entire plot spoiled anyway so hgsghah i need to stop looking into games i haven't played yet

i loved great ace attorney so much, only cried a lil bit when i finished it. somehow managed to not spoil too much of it during the 6 years we were waiting for the western release so it was nice to play through it without knowing the entire plot already

it was the first announcement of the western release that pulled me back into ace attorney brainrot hell and now i can't escape. plz help

i actually kinda feel the same w fire emblem just because i don't remember shit from back then lollll theres so many characters to keep track of and i am not..... good at it
