limited shop drops

I kinda like this idea. I feel like shop drops (limited or not) also motivates designers more to design for the site instead of maybe for particular teams.
Because they get to see their designs be used (idk, personally I never paid attention to hot and wof, badged or not)

I don't see anything that tells me it's a bad idea at least
i don't see how it would be either but idk!

The shop is lowkey under-utilized as a credit sink and even a PD sink, and everyone wants to see more action there anyway

the limited shop drop that happened around valentines day was a really good start, but it was under promoted and PD, but i felt the urgency to buy those sets!!!

and since it would be one item (or set but thats designer choice), then designers could go outside of their usual styles and use the inspo threads, so people can see maybe more of their personal styles and be even more inclined to buy idk

unfortunately, that will create the demand for credits to be bought and spent. over the past few months i have been consistently told there are too many credits in the system, we need a reason to spend them to support buying more .

I have no idea honestly, and i can imagine it's not many users with these credits bc people are constantly saying they're broke LOL. But there are users who consistently buy the full credit packages to support + for sets, are selling items and since there is nothing really to spend it on, they just accumulate over time.

we need something to make the rich poor, we need something to spend the credits on after we have bought credits just to keep the site up

If that ever happens i kinda wished (for the currency) that it was d2c so we get something back for the work we put out, but for the reason this game wants users to get rid of their current money that will probably not happen

d2c = direct to customer, means we release, deliver directly to the buyer and get the money

so basically a normal sale
i agree with this, then people who like different quality or specific designers dont get so punished by resale prices and the designer gets SOMETHING out of it

some people have thousands of credits and nowhere to spend them, so there is no point to buy more cr, when we cant spend the money we currently have.

but that sucks for players who have little cr. it feels punishing. and finding a balance is not an easy task.

i think the rares auctons were great for this, but it sucked if you wanted the item to use and it went to someone who will hoard it.

I think around 2020-2021 we had this problem too. Shadowjess used to do an event called the back of the wardrobe. We had for a whole day limited sets to buy for limited by time. Arould half hour to half hour  we had drops on shops. We had sets with cr and sets with pd. And some individual items that cost 100 cr like this item here
Who had lots of cr used to buy more that one copy with the itention to sell, because many players couldnt participate since it was a whole day event during saturday or sunday and who are low on cr used to buy just a few. I know that we dont have many sets to use. Shadowjess used to get sets that was never used here from other servers and sometimes some dollzmania individual items that everybody wanted.

Some sets costed low like 100-150 cr and some are more expensive like 300-500 cr

But it worked... I dont know if we can do that again because things changed.... But it was an event that I used to enjoy a lot
