Part of why we respond well to Jess is because, even if she's unable to do what we ask, she tries and cares. She listens. She explains why it can't be done. She makes suggestions to an alternative. 

When he's just as childish as we are, we get nowhere and just causes the community to act even more immature because he's not listening or even trying to.

I don't think he ever would hire someone else.
but same as you say, Jess is good at both sides but then finding someone to take care of the opposite role she would take would be difficult.

no? its just how he should professionally run this site so that it actually works. i mean all of the suggestions what features to add are not necessary but he should at least take care of the existing problems.
