Regarding username capitalisation: I can look into how this is set up and if it is possible to grant a user-side toggle to make their username display as all lowercase I can add that to the stack. It is much lower priority compared to the actual feature changes, but if it is straightforward it can be added quickly.

Regarding animated clothing items, I'm not at liberty to say. That would be a question for the actual designers first and foremost, and PNGs offer better compression compared to GIFs. It's not impossible to add from a coding stand point, but it is more a question of differentiating VP from other sites.
