If it has to be drop downs then different main categories, to start with, resulting in different smaller categories. Something like this. (Didn't want it to clog up the thread). There could be another category too for dresses, overalls and things like that too called gowns or something. Maybe it's just me who wants more categories but hey, things are hard to find. I'm sure there could be a lot more than what I suggested in the link.
