Night 5 of the Drekkal’Zuun
The night is colder than before.

As planned, the Mercurii and Azriel meet back up. They don't speak, they know to trust each other.. for now.
The Mercurii receives fresh food from an unknown sponsor. They sit close. At some point, they hold hands and don’t let go.

Cynamity finds Glade before the sun is gone. He offers a truce - she accepts. Later, he asks if they can sleep side by side. Glade hesitates, but the exhaustion from not sleeping wins. She agrees.
Bexxi watches them from a nearby ridge. She stays low, hidden in the shadows, saying nothing. Waiting.

Suchomimus builds a fire, far from everyone else. He sharpens sticks and sets traps around his camp before finally closing his eyes - just for a moment.

Drekkal’Kael - The Feast
The Kor’Zeluun is replenished. Crates of food, weapons, and relics from home are stacked in the dust. A low sound is heard through the arena. The Drekkal’Kael has begun.

Glade and Cynamity arrive early. Glade keeps her distance, eyes sharp. She’s known for a while that Bexxi has been following her. So when Glade sees Bexxi, she doesn’t hesitate. Bexxi barely has time to react. Glade drives the blade in while Bexxi's back is turned. One less contestant to worry about.

While Glade is busy, Cynamity goes further into the Kor'Zeluun. Suchomimus arrives shortly after, which Cynamity notices. They don't say a word, they don't even care for supplies, they just charge towards each other. It’s brutal. Neither backs down, and neither pulls away. Cynamity lands a blow to the ribs. Suchomimus breaks Cynamity's nose. They fight until both fall - silent and still in the red dust.
No one wins and they won't get a chance to now.

Azriel watches from the ridge above, then turns away. She doesn’t go to the Drekkal’Kael.
The Mercurii doesn’t go either. It stays hidden beneath a stone outcrop, listening to the wind instead awaiting Azriel's return.

Day 6 of the Drekkal’Zuun
The sun feels dimmer today. The air is still.

Azriel and the Mercurii know there are very few left. So they decide to keep working together - for just a bit longer.

Azriel stays in camp, keeping watch and checking supplies. She tries to stay focused, but her thoughts drift. She can't help questioning her own sanity.

The Mercurii goes hunting, silent and patient. It sees smoke rising in the distance and decides to investigate. The trail leads it to Glade. The Mercurii attacks - fast and without warning. But Glade is quicker. She escapes into the rocks before it can catch her.

Night 6 of the Drekkal’Zuun
The stars are faint tonight. The silence feels unnatural.

Glade doesn’t sleep. She stays awake all night, keeping watch. She knows that each breath could be the last.

Azriel and the Mercurii sit close beside their campfire, speaking with hushed voices. They talk about Glade and plan what to do in the morning. They know that soon they'll have to fight each other.
