Hello yes I've been online pretty much every day the past two weeks because I was home for passover and then I had surgery last week so I'm still home and bored but y'all have nothing interesting to say and neither do I so I have said nothing.
What are you planning on knitting? Do you already have some tools? Do you have the yarn you want to use? Also you live in Norway you're very lucky, I live in the country of hot, knitting isn't very big here, I have to order a lot of things online. Omg are you knitting a mariusgenser? You're Norwegian, right? That's all y'all knit, isn't it. That and selbu mittens.
I'm norwegian yes.
I am going to make the arctic light sweater w a lot of cables bc I only care to make very specific things.
I am gonna go through the instructions and such to figure what i need of tools but i just need some general ideas to help me think first lol
I am just gonna follow the pattern and yarn suggestions as close as I can since it seems like norwegian yarn too
I think when it comes to tools my biggest tip is to buy interchangeable tips and cords the size and length you need for the project, rather than fixed circular needles. They're more versatile in the long run, you won't have to buy 5 needles of each size you use in different cord lengths. I wouldn't buy an entire set though, I did that and that probably wasn't a great choice. It's a lot of money and you're probably only gonna end up using a few of the sizes once you figure out what kind of stuff you tend to knit. Also you might find that you don't enjoy a certain kind of needle, like, I only really like using metal needles, specifically the brand chiaogoo because their cords are lovely. You might find you prefer wood over metal, or bamboo over wood. You might prefer one brand's cords over another's. Some needles are sharper and some are more blunt, you might find that you prefer one over the other. So yeh don't buy a whole ass set.
Nice
