it is in general an automatic process!
BUT it was a decision that had to be made when the law changed, the original law was that only the first born son had the right to the throne, but in 1980 that law was changed in sweden to be the first born (no matter gender) 

our prince was 1 year at that time and it was decided to take the title of crown prince from him and give it to his older sister who was 3 at the time instead. But it seems that in norway they made the decision to let the crown prince stay as crown prince after their law was changed

i wonder if your prince (sorry not sure which country your from hh ) dislikes that his sister is now crown princess instead of him or if he's grateful for it

oh mine too, that wasn't there earlier today

there are so many people and flowers and people with flowers in town i had no idea a whole city could get as quiet as it did at 12 when the cannons fired and churchbells rang it was almost scary

ya idk abt the prince but apparently our king didnt like it, not that he doesnt like/respect his daughter, he isnt a fan of how the prince was dethroned
but the government had been working and voting towards this change way before the prince was born, it was just unfortunate timing he was born before the official change

wiki made it look soo complicated- but it's not! sam just sent me a voice message lmaoo

they implemented the change in 1990 so the prince and princess had already grown up in their roles and stuff so yayaya it makes sense that tHEy didnt strip the title off the crown prince but the next generation has a crown princess
