I tried out a test in white and grey, but the way I'm doing the checkers, i will have to be really aware of pulling the other color thread tight, so that it don't show through.
I think i might go with some colors that are closer too each other, so i will likely end with a warm brown and then a darker warm brown, as where i got the inspiration for the bag (if you got the same inspiration picture, maybe you might know which colors).

yeah i think we are doing it the same way and i can see how two very different colors wouldnt be the best. i did my test in yellow and orange so i didnt really notice that
got the inspiration from a blue bag but i did consider brown colors too, though i have decided on a green and light green

Oh yea, doesn't sound like your colors is gonna be much of a problem. I choose an off white and brown at first and as much as i love them, they are just too different i think.
Are you gonna make it a big square and fold it together or are you gonna connect it and just crochet in a big circle?

off white and brown would have been so pretty, but probably too different yea
i think the pattern is telling me to make a bottom which is like one line of squares and then crochet around from there. i think. the pattern is not describing things very well lol

Oh, i thought about that for making it a bag too, think that would look good! I'm struggling with the thought of crocheting too the side of the other crochet tho, my sides aren't the most pretty.

Think i found out how to make the checkeres for the bag i wanna make, i did see comments on the post, saying that it's better with similar colors tho. So i might need to wait and go buy, maybe a dark brown. Can't wait!
Is it the famous fuckin checkered tote thing? I actually made one a while back, I don't think the colours have to be too similar, just make sure you're using the right hook so the holes aren't too small.

Yep pretty much, or so i would believe, because omg there was many other inspiration pictures. Do you mean the hook size, that correspond with the thickness or the yarn or? I for sure think i could do it and hide it too, but i with my slight lack of skills and patience, i think i will be on the safe side haha!

Depends on the yarn, I guess. Also single crochet or double crochet? Or, my Gd, half double crochet?

Usually with round things i do sc and start with inc in every hole, then i sc and increase every second and then every third and so on. I'm not sure if that is the right way, when having to make a flat circle thought.

Hell yeah, tiny elephant. I'm guessing you're talking about crochet lol, knitted dolls seem like witchcraft to me.
