Just like put it in the same place every time you put it away, that way you'll always know where it is (and maybe completely panic if you out it in a different spot one day, but hopefully that won't happen)

Haha. My thoughts cannot relax if I don't write things down and kind of get them out of my head, which is also a reason why I never sleep
When I have one thing I need to remember or just something that is bothering me when i'm trying to sleep, I even write it on a post it note and stick that on my phone so I can see it the next morning

Maybe I should try doing that some more....

I do have a particular place for my current sketchbooks, the problem usually occurs because I've used it earlier because I'm working on something, then put aside close to where I'm working because of my lazy ass, then when I get back it's gone ahah
