and nobody said racial diversity isthe only kind of diversity either. theyre very possibly a diverse group in other ways like sexuality and disablity or veteren status or religions or somehting but acting like racial diversity doesnt matter when you already have other kinds of diversity is a honestly weird take
yes omg precisely this. like it's not a personal attack on any of the ppl on that list who i'm sure are all lovely  (except for the disney adults /j /j /j) but let's all agree that even if it turns out just fine, it looks so bad
I absolutely get that racial diversity is something we should have everywhere, but as I said, you do not know everyone’s ethnicity or skin color, because quite a few mods have decided not to show their real face :) that is why I’m reacting, because the assumption that we are a 100% white group is actually wrong. In addition, the initial statement was “lack of diversity” not lack of pic, which is why I also pointed out that there is diversity in the group even tho it’s majority white. ☺️

I just want to point out that the discussion seems very America centric as well. Of course diversity is a good thing, but it's problematic if you give someone a position purely to make it diverse, what if 90-95% of the applicants were white, of course a lot of them are going to be that - which also makes sense if it is the case that a lot of the mods are Norwegian as well, as the majority of Norwegians are white. Also, white doesn't mean that there's just one homogenous culture as well, no matter how much Americans want it to be like that.

Yeah, so although the criticism is to some degree understandable, at least from an America centric point of view, it becomes stranger with that in mind like.. ??? okay. It's still impossible to tell what kind of userbase gsm will end up having, if it will appeal to younger generations or if it's just going to be a nostalgia thing, if it becomes the latter, of course the majority of the mods will be white Europeans

Agreed. I also think some of the mods were mods on old gSm as well (Chole! was the name of a mod on the Danish server at least) and that's probably also been a plus in the application because they're already kind of familiar with the job and website if it still looks just kind of similar to the old one.

On another note, how's the diversity on VP compared to goSupermodel?
