I don't see anyone asking to hold empathy for them. these people didn't have the choice to sit at some college campus debating whether or not someone else's life was worth to take in order to protect people who want to buy a gun in fucking Walmart, or debating whether your existence is allowed because you're trans, or you're gay, etc. 

so no, I don't give a fuck about him dying. it is tragic, because all gun violence is tragic, but I won't share a single thought, prayer or shed any tear for a man who has justified this publicly, knowing how many people follow him.

I personally don't think he needed to die in order to prove a point, because thousands of kids have already died trying to prove the point that the USA needs gun control, and they were just buried in silence. I hold empathy for the parents of those kids, for their siblings. I hold empathy also for the queer kids who have been beaten to death because of the hatred men like Kirk have been spewing against the LGBTQIA+ community. I hold empathy for the women and pregnant people who die and will die because they can not get abortions even if their fetus isn't viable and it being kept inside the person until they die of sepsis. I hold empathy for the poor and the homeless who are lit on fire, or are violently murdered on the streets. I hold empathy for people who have repeatedly screamed and cried about politics that must change to protect them, and have been told to shut the fuck up.

this man could've stopped at any moment to think about what his ideology was doing to people. he had two children and a wife who are now alone without him, because he chose to still talk against anything that could protect other people from the very same death sentence he was given.

again, I don't give a fuck. I don't feel empathy, even if I think he could've changed his views. if anything, I still don't think he was murdered because of his ideology, but rather for something else
