havent thought about it tbh. but there is 1 new years resolution that stuck from several years ago. it was dont drink pop / drink more water. and now my favourite drink is water. tap, bottled, flavoured, water is great. as a kid my parents just gave us pop and its so bad. my teeth felt so horrible. i only have pop now (typically just lemonade) as a mixer for some of my alcohol, which i dont drink often, only usually going out with some friends or family.
the only stuff i really drink is stuff i'd consider a treat, or smth not too bad for me. bcus im a barista, im open to making myself frappes and cool flavoured drinks, so usually ill have like hazelnut hot chocolate or a strawberry frappechino (how do u even spell these things). pure orange juice is my second favourite consumed drink but usually on the mornings with my breakfast. i like to think that my drinking habits are quite good for me and my health, so im glad i made that new years resolution many yrs ago and stuck to it
this is honestly why I love new years resolutions.
It's often easier to change a habit at new years ("new year new me"
and if it's a realistic goal, it'll often keep and make for a more satisfying lifestyle.
A few years back I had 10K steps each day as a goal, and I like to think I've gotten a lot out of that (even if the habit is kind of redundant when you have a dog now and is forced outside no matter what)
that really is a good one to have! i do understand that ;-; i wished i could have another dog so we could go for more walkies. it was always so relaxing walking around with cute baby and watching them run through fields, and helps to keep daily exercise. usually now, my only exercise is from work and im lazy else where, lmao. other factors really can dictate goals and health and its crazy to think for that sometimes.
