I had to leave early on monday last week because I hurt my foot badly (long story short I dropped a log on my foot and thought it would bruise but that's it but I walk a lot at work so it swelled upĀ  a lot and pinchedĀ  a nerve or tendon or sth) and the 2 other people had to continue working without me and we didn't meet our work goal so everyone was pissed.

Today I went up to one of the other ppl and was like 'hey, I really appreciate you two holding the fort the other day, it really sucked that I had to leave early, sorry'.

They answered with a 2-minute tirade about how shitty it was of me to leave.

I had to call my mum to pick me up from the bus stop last week because I couldn't walk another 100m because it hurt so badly, my mum had to bring me dinner because I literally couldn't move without crutches in the evening so I was pretty upset about the whole thing.
