ur so lucky, i would've done the same about the machines. i've never felt sad about what i've gotten one either, prizes r random but they design them so good that it really beats the cheap plastics in the machines over @ america
yeah like my friend gave me a ghibli button blind pack and it was actually really well made and not super flimsy and cheap ??? i was like "they make these in actually sturdy?" im used to the pin buttons that are super flimsy so u are instatntly afraid of losing them if u ever were to use them
it sounds suuuuuuuper expensive to create something of good quality be worth a couple yen in japan unless i could be wrong? i know there's a gashapon dispensary machine at a mall i'm familiar with (5 tokens for $5 isn't so bad) and not much of a variety other than sanrio but in comparison to where i used to get gashapon keychains (fakes would say) they'd look very miserable as if they've either eaten or seen something beyond from their understanding..
i know i had a hachiware keychain where the tail was extremely flimsy.. i was disappointed when i found out that his tail fell off when i was carrying him around on my keyring :// it's super surprising to hear from u that pins are sturdy, i still have low-key doubts about their material but if ur sayin it's sturdy then i'll take it into consideration!
the ghibli ones were at least sturdy, but those were probably also more expensive than ur usual gacha
