Scott is still involved but he's stepped back a little to work on other projects and is letting steelwool tell the new story. Their story follows one of the Fazbear frights story (which is like alternate universe type stuff?)

the afton plot is dead, purple guy dead died (for real this time) in custom night. all the following games have been telling a different story and plot about the company BEFORE games 1-ucn
honestly i dont know for sure what the tie in is, but i'm sure eventually we'll find out

this man really just has to make games were lore is not just speculation but actual facts im tired of this random story line that keeps changing. He said the books aint canon

what i hate the most abt steel wool games is simply their art style. It makes the games feel like you have already seen them meanwhile the actual fnaf games had so much more charm and unique mechanics to them

this is true!!
but i think some of that is intentional? to give that eerie feeling that you've been here before.
after security breach and help wanted they really listened to feedback that their games just didnt feel like horror games and they tried to up the suspense and fear factor.

however i think a lot of steelwool used to be part of the poppy team (pre nfts)
so thats probably why it feels similar
