little trivia abt my conection to the book:
back in like idk 2018 we had an open j prof psotion at the jpanology department in uni and we as the students were encouraged to watch the 1h presentations that the applicants had to do and give feedback
and two ppl did theirs abt konbini ningen (convenience store woman) and i vividly remember thinking wow this sound so autism coded. n the one guy who got the position in the end got asked if he sees the protag as autistic and the guy said no haha
