FT: Different Aesthetics

Hm...It's really complicated honestly.
I tend to like aesthetics that are fantasy related or even stuff like goblincore and especially cottagecore.
My room in particular really captures these aesthetics, but my personal style (like how I present myself/way I dress) is hippie pretty much, all thanks to my cousin lol (she's always presented herself this way, and I always thought she was freaking cool so I caught on naturally).

I usually wear the style from the 90s, Adidas, Fila, Ellesse, and goes all the way! I never mix brands either. So when i wear Adidas, it goes all the way from top to the toes. When i need to dress up, i'm using flare jeans, and pastel colored tops or blouses. In the summer i love using cute dresses with flower prints.
ahh this sounds so nice! i love the matching haha very 90s indeed
do you ever mix the sporty vibe with the flowers and such?
Yes, sometimes, depends on the day! haha

I feel like there’s little to no point in dressing up in these days...
maybe we’ll get some motivation when covid eases up

Ohh I love that!
I think hippie and cottagecore go together pretty well maybe
both have that comforting and tranquil nature vibe

basically only wear lolita. my style has not drastically changed over the year or the pst decade, but i did go from gothic lolita to sweet lolita, not a huge leap. the most obscure aesthetic is the basic one, i hate it with passion, im sorry
where do u buy lolita dresses ?? i feel like it's so hard to find for not-crazy prices and taxation to scandinavian countries (maybe you're not from here idk..)
yeah i live in norway so i completely understand the prices can be high, but lolita is a niche and expensive style, but you can do it on a budget anyways.
even if you have no money to spare, never buy on sites like wish, aliexpress or ebay. save up, save up, save up.
you can even get nice brand pieces for really low on lacemarket if you look everyday, but the bidding is a little crazy.
and if you want the cheapest, but great quality, you can find alot of good stuff on taobao for super cheap!! just google taobao lolita brands and theres alot of masterlists. for the shipping, i mostly use chinese lolita updates on facebook, and she usually marks down the price as much as she possibly can on the package when sending it out so the taxes wont get too high. last time i ordered from her i ordered stuff for 1800kr and she marked it down to 300 ish kr

I would describe my style as “sport elegant”
I enjoy nice high quality clothes(prefer when they are cheap)
Thrifting=love so I would say “trendy Pinterest boy”

omg that's so cool!
could you show us some of your outfits or similar ones from internet?
i'd love to see as i'm so unfamiliar with lolita
i dont have any pictures on my phone right now because i transferred everything, but if anyone is interested in seeing coords i would recommend joining closet of frills on fb, though it is a private group it is so fun seeing everyone being creative with their coords.
i do have these 2 pictures of me trying steampunk and classic lolita, but since those arent really my style and i dont have alot of items for it, it doesnt really look good lmfao

Agreed!
I tend to like tye dye stuff a lot. Then I have an obsession with floral, celestial (especially celestial, if I see anything with the sun or moon I run right up to it literally!) or in general mandala patterns (got a lot of pants with mandala's on it) I also adore patch work, and of course can't forget flare pants. <3 <3
Pics like these pretty much some in it up.

yepyepyep, taobao is a chinese site so its hard to get around on there, but if you use mesterlists with different words and google translate it isnt that hard. and if you want to order directly on the site you have to message them usually.
also if you use shopping services you have to pay twice or three times. i think its for them to buy the items and have them shippeds to them and then you have to pay when theyre shipping it out to you. and if its a øre order you have to pay a small amount first and then the rest when they get the items. idk, i just let them handle it and i just pay 😩

pre order** also you can check out bhiner lolita. it is a shopping service, but it is a little more expensive than others so we usually just check it out to find stuff to order from someone else, because its so easy
