Hey VP! This will be a bit of a longer thread, but lets talk holidays / vacations! Summer is soon approaching and what better time to get into the sun than by travelling. Whether you like to find new places to take walks / hikes, finding resort destinations to sit back and relax, or visiting a grand theme park - its a great time to do something different
Recently I went to Japan for 2 weeks as a tourist with my boyfriend and it was incredible! we did so much each day and so much money was spent on the cutest goodies. It was the trip of a lifetime for us. Is Japan a place you would like to go to? Or any particular country you would like to visit? Do you have any upcoming trips or vacations?
Let us know how you plan to spend your summer!
Godzilla over there was a huge deal and a 3 minute walk from our hotel into the town gave us an amazing sighting of a Godzilla that sits atop of a cinema building. You could find his eyes glowing up and hearing him roar, with puffs of smoke leaving his mouth. It was really dramatic and fun to see when we passed it most days. This street is the heart of the town and we spent much of our time here visiting the arcades, spending a couple hours in karaoke a few nights, and testing out new eateries and cafes!
Our 4th day was spent taking a short train into Tokyo city and stopping at the Imperial palace and character street. The Imperial Palace is huge and definitely a well-kept area to sit down and enjoy a little snack. Thankfully, we had the cutest character snacks that were really good in terms of price and taste! Not to mention all the other adorable dishes we tried throughout our 2 week stay. Would you eat such fun and kawaii treats?
My boyfriends choice of activity was going to see the Mikasa ship that is found in Yokosuka. It was such an interesting place to look around and filled with history and little hidden gems and facts. As someone that doesn't have the most history knowledge, and definitely not in war or ship related subjects, this was one of my favourite days. Does anyone recognise or know anything about this ship at all?
Now the last part I want to touch up on is the place that I suggested we went to - Sanrio Puroland! An attraction found in Tama, Tokyo, there was so much to do in here and possibly the place that I spent most of my money and energy. As a huge Sanrio fan, it was so mind-blowing to go to the cutest place on earth and interact with the most adorable mascots. As soon as we were let into the building, I bee-lined to order a booking to see the Cogimyun and Cinnamoroll mascot which we had to wait a little bit to do. We managed to do most activities there with very little waiting times, like taking little cart rides, and explore! We met the Hello Kitty mascot after taking a small tour around her house which was so spectacular and brilliantly done up. Every mascot we met gave us hugs and we managed to get plenty of photos for memory.
Is Sanrio Puroland a place you would visit, as a Sanrio fan? Do you have a favourite Sanrio character?
Bonus image of a Cinnamoroll themed curry we got from a Cinnamoroll themed café only 5 minutes walk from our hotel! Definitely a wonderful little find
Have a wonderful summer from FT and I hope that you are able to do some fun activities such like the ones we managed to have this month
