☀️☀️☀️

Happy summer, popstars! Hope you are enjoying the warm weather and hot outfits!

Our theme for the fashion contest is "The Summer Date" and we have a super secret surprise for all our contestants in next month's collaboration with the seasonal magazine team.

In honor of these happenings, we wanted entrants to have a chance to share about their entries:
☀️What event or setting are you going to?☀️
☀️Who's your date? (friend, lover, or self-care)☀️
☀️What's the background story?☀️
☀️And any other details you want!☀️

Your story can be as long or detailed as you want!

This isn't mandatory for the FC, and there isn't a prize,
just a casual chance to write fun stories about the avatars and share them!
Ask each other questions and have fun creating together!

Feel free to dress up and share a summer date story/activity even if you couldn't join FC!

Summer skate date:
The sky caste a pink hue on the busy park as it set behind the cloudless horizon, but few of the parkgoers made to leave. The food stalls and musicians lit their soft lights and continued their activities. Soft music, different styles here and there, enhanced the summer ambiance for all the attendees, nightly joggers to youthful revelers alike.

Through these sanguine merrymakers came a nervous looking girl in red and grey. She smiled at the various attractions but couldn't focus on them long. Cat was here to meet her friend, Eli. They had been good friends in high school, even competing in roller derbies together, but Cat hadn't really talked with Eli since moving away for college a couple years ago. Despite their friendship, Cat couldn't help but feel anxious at the thought of meeting her old friend.

Had she changed since then? Eli was super sweet and well-liked in high school. She was fashionable but also approachable. Cat, on the other hand, was a social awkward combination of serious student, punk, and otaku who never quite fit into any social circle... Even in high school, the two had seemed an odd combination. After losing contact with each other for two years?

Cat was thus circling the drain with half formed worries when the girl with untamable red hair appeared behind her and called her name. Cat nearly jumped as she turned to face Eli. "I was beginning to think you stood me up" Eli beamed. Cat shifted awkwardly. She had been fashionably late (+ a few minutes) trying to find an outfit that was not super intense until finally giving up such aspirations. "Sorry" Cat said sheepishly, "I didn't see you." "I know" responded Eli "I called your name five times" she said laughing.

The two girls hugged, a little awkwardly, and proceeded to skate through the stalls, catching up their various life courses. Cat bought a bubble tea, and Eli teased her about her inability to pass anywhere selling it without buying some, while Eli bought a sweet dessert on a stick, which she couldn't name but swore tasted like apple pie.

Their refreshments eaten, Eli pointed with her kabob stick at an empty sidewalk path veering towards the lake and announced "Let's race to that guard rail!" Cat started to question that idea but found it futile since Eli was already picking up speed down the vacant path veering towards the lake.

And so, the two halfheartedly rushed down the concrete pathways for the few minutes until they both caught themselves on the guardrail before the water. "Heh, you always could beat me in speed" panted Eli. "I only won by a second or two!" responded Cat, also winded. "You've kept up skating?" "I wish" replied Eli. "Between work and chores, I've hardly had time to spend outside!" Eli stared out at the lake for a few seconds as her breathing evened out. "I've missed it, though. I should really make time to spend at the park more this summer." "You should." encouraged Cat.

The two girls watched the last traces of the sunset colors fade over the surface of the darkening water. "It's funny" Cat started, "I was worried about coming here. Seeing you again, I mean." "Am I that scary?" Asked Eli in mock indignation. "No, no. Not like that, but... time passes, people change. Friends leave. I thought maybe... we'd meet to find our friendship had dissipated like the colors drain from the sky."

The two were quiet again until Eli spoke: " I was worried to, actually" echoed Eli, smiling awkwardly. "Really?" prodded Cat. "Yeah. So many things from my life--things that were nice, happy, innocent--seemed to fade away for adulting and work. I was kind of scared asking you to come out would be confirming that our friendship was another happy memory that belonged only to the past now."

Another minute of silence. "Yeah... I feel that." answered Cat. "I'm really glad I came, though." "Me too" said Eli. "Let's do this again. "We have the whole summer to skate around the park" suggested Cat. "Heck yeah, burn some calories too!" chimed in Eli, who seemed to have forgotten the snack stick she was gesturing with. "Maybe I'll even beat you in a race!" Cat smiled teasingly, "You couldn't even beat me in a race in high school, you think you can now that we're old?" "We're not OLD, we're TWENTY!!" yelled Eli in horror as the two girls skated back up the hill towards the main path, laughing.

@mimimumu and I enjoyed a graveyard picnic! er, let me explain...

Their love dates back to multiple years ago, where their linked souls were blossoming so brightly. Unfortunately, things had come to an end. Nothing could come between them but a ceramic-plate-carrying truck going at a speed of 90 km/h straight into Whistle. The funeral marks Mimi's darkest day to date, and left her with an intense determination: she had to be reunited with her lover.
Over the course of more than 8 years, Mimi sharpened her knowledge, honed her skills, and reached for forbidden arts and dangerous means. 'The Silencer', a name echoed within alleys, carried by dried leaves in the breeze — Mimi built her reputation as one of the most respected and feared necromancers in history. She paid no mind to the whispers, her past years sought after only one desire. To be reunited with her lover, Whistle. And the day had finally arrived.
Full moon casting shadows on countless graves, weak trees, and 'The Silencer' herself. Her eyes focused on one particular gravestone, 'Whistle' carved into it. It was time, and Mimi commenced the curse, or how she would describe it: the blessing. The spell required little materials, a couple burned herbs to weaken the wall between the living and the dead, and some carefully formulated words, chanted by Mimi. A final step left, linked to the affected soul's death and causing Mimi to remember that painful day. She picked up a few ceramic plates and threw them against Whistles gravestone. Shortly after, the ground below started to rumble.

A fresh batch of clothes to cover the decomposing body, a cloth to cover the bald spots, and a mint for the horrendous breath — Whistle was ready for the picnic date Mimi had prepared. Their last date was years ago, they could not wait another minute to make up for the missed time. Right there next to Whistle's grave, they spent a joyful and happy picnic date. Mimi had over 8 years to prepare, and it was a success. Their love didn't dwindle after all this time, quite the contrary: it was stronger than ever.
Whistle was feeling insecure, due to her decomposing body and her bald spots. From a nearby grave, Mimi stole the biggest and brightest flower and gently grazed Whistle's face. “You're as beautiful as the day I lost you”, placing the flower in Whistle's balding hair.

𓆩♡𓆪 Fun fact: Mimi chose the name 'The Silencer' to remember Whistle whistling, 𓆩♡𓆪
which resembles silence, as she cannot whistle.

Toraix and SadBreads totally awesome carnival date

It was the perfect day for a summer fair. The sky was clear and the sun was shining casting bright highlights over Bread's coral toned hair. Laughter was ringing from spinning rides all over us. We had been planning this date for weeks and finally it was happening. Wanting to match the mood, we had dressed in pastel hues like our favorite carnival treat: cotton candy. I was wearing mostly fluffy blue, and Bread in soft pink. Although us wearing identical shit eating grins was not a planned event. The fair was buzzing with excitement from the get-go. Children with balloon animals darted between crowds, and carousel music echoed through the air with an occasional honk.My favorite carnival attractions have always been those where you could win something, by playing a game or pulling a string. But to my surprise it was Bread, who I noticed was dragging me headfirst to win something. The first stop: the classic can-shooting game. With surprising precision, Bread knocked down every single can, earning a giant pink bunny plush. "For you," Bread said with a mock bow, handing it to me. I chuckled and bent down to my knees as to accept it like a royal gift. We decided to visit the gift shop, and I bought us matching star headbands and some souvenir trinkets. Also a cool looking notebook for Lyncait. After finding the perfect accessories for the occasion, we strolled down a long path of attractions to check out the food. The smell of fresh butter popcorn permeated the air around us, with hints of sweet syrup. "What would you like to get?" Sadbread asked me. "I could really use a lemonade float and some caramel popcorn", I replied while trying to locate my wallet.

With our treats, we waited a bit to see some people leaving a table and took the opportunity to occupy it before anyone else. "Thank God we didn't have to wait so long", I said while I made myself comfortable. Or as comfortable you can be sitting on a wooden plank picnic table. Next, we tried skeeball. It was a chaotic mess of cheering and missed rolls, but we managed to score enough points to win a pair of oversized mouse ears, which Bread promptly plopped onto their head. The mismatched headbands together looked totally adorable, but I kept my mouth shut.

Not to be outdone, I tried my hand at the ball toss and, after several dramatic near-misses, finally I won the cutest pink bear. “Now we both have a baby to carry,” he joked. As the sun dipped lower, we queued to the bumper cars next. We made our mission to only bump into each other, which was mostly successful.

I managed to battle my fear of spinning rooms as we stumbled out of the fun house giggling, slightly dizzy. Those warped mirrors and spinning tunnels were really fun in the end.We found a talking genie in a box who gave us fortunes wrapped in gold foil. Mine said; “Your heart is in good company.” Bread’s read; “The important moments find you where laughter lives.” I had saved the Ferris wheel for last. As the sun was slowly setting, up above the fair, everything looked smaller. The sun melted into the horizon in streaks of peach and lavender. We were squished into the tiny cart, the bear and bunny struggling to occupy their intended space between us.From the corner of my eye I notice a strange looking clown looking up at me, clothed in tattered overalls and hair curled into a sharp tear shape. Bread notices me looking down and jumps out of their seat almost to my lap when they realize what I was distracted by. I notice that the clown doesn't try to get people to stop and buy their balloons. They just keep still, looking up at us, which puzzles me even more. Without the reaction from Sadbread I would have thought I had imagined the whole character or seen that figure somehow wrong or distorted from reality. As the cart moved, I glanced to look at the sky, and after I returned my eyes back down, the clown had disappeared. "Spooky, huh?", I sigh out.Under the fading summer sky I patted Bread's head trying to calm them down. And as the the fair spun on below, our hearts spun a little too. Gently, joyfully, just like the wheel.
