That's kind of dumb, the to is the punishment, if someone spent time entering a comp and won, them being on to shouldn't prevent them from getting the prize.
Yeah there's a reason why it's against the law to punish people two times for the same crime (atleast where I live). It ain't good for anyone.
If someone would enter a competition with sides multiple times or claim prize codes on multiple accounts they would get an official punishment from the mods but they can also be banned from entering competitions by the team/teams, so being able to be "punished" (not the best word to describe it if you ask me) twice is already a thing.

If someone have violated the rules of VP and got a TO for it I don't believe the teams should need to be nice and do extra work to get the code extended so they can claim it after their TO, they violated the rules and there are consequences for that and it's their own personal reasonability at that point.
I did not argue that codes would be extended for their sake, at all. I don't preach that you all should work more. I only commented the first comment about whether people with TO shouldn't get a code sent to them at all (based on what they "deserve" )

I think all team members work too hard already, so you both misunderstood what I was commenting on. Guess i was unclear.

I have health problems and I find it really hard to live up to time-related expectations in general.
I can't ever know how I will feel in 1 hour, 1 day, or 1 week
And I know for a fact it can be hard to explain and make people understand
So I just want to say I think it can actually be really hard for some people to live up to this, and it's not really fair
People that struggle with physical or mental health issues can have more difficulty with energy levels/fatigue, planning ahead, remembering, and other things
And I don't see the point in everything being so meticulous and demanding

While I understand where smt is coming from being on the other side of things, I also know that in the end VP is just a website and you cant except people to be online 24/7 to claim these codes. Some people have lives (shocker I know)

i think the most fair thing would be to evaluate the situation on a case by case basis

actually honestly the fact that we even need codes for comp prizes is kinda weird like a functioning proper site would have the mechanisms to just insert the prize into the winners wardrobes without needing a code to be redeemed lmao but i dont expect this site to be a functioining proper site ever lmao just saying the whole codes as comp prizes thing actually doesnt make sense at all lol

This seems kinda unnecessary and creates a lot of pressure for no reason.. I feel like if i join a comp and I forget to log on to check or just get caught up with actual life or uni or work as I don’t live on vp and win a competition no matter if its not in the time limit or not I should still get my prize?? Idkk

It’s more fun when you get to claim your special prize tho

If they don’t claim in time they don’t get it. And if I read it right, why will they get t/o if they don’t claim it? They just don’t get the price. That’s it.

(tell me nice if I have wrong)

” This rule still applies if you weren't able to claim the code in time due to a time out”

It means that the rule is same for everyone, for people on timeout as well. You don’t get t/o for not claiming the prize on time

agree with this. i think a reasonable thing to do would be to give people who participate hard dates about when you announce results/send out codes as well then so people know when to check to see if they have a code prize from a competition they enter. i find it kinda strange that contests are left so up in the air without any word until suddenly there are results

+ would it not be more easy if it somehow can put the price in the winners wd without a code?
